Ok, that’s good to know about – thank you. It doesn’t fully resolve my issue, though, because anyone who’s visited the site and accepted cookies in the past will still get the “form deactivated” message, with no option to re-accept cookies and refresh the page. For those visitors, I’d have to put some text on the page to say that if they see that message, they should delete their cookies and try again, which wouldn’t look great and would no doubt put off most people from using the contact form. Is there any other way around this?
Hi Ismael –
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I did have the cookie consent message enabled, but your comment prompted me to try deleting the cookies on my browser, and that worked. However, by experimenting with different ways of accessing the site, I found that this only works if the user accepts cookies after reCAPTCHA is enabled and before opening the contact form – if you navigate to the contact form and then accept cookies, or if you accepted cookies in a previous visit before I added reCAPTCHA then the form stays deactivated and can’t be reactivated without clearing cookies. I suspect that most users who experience that probably won’t have the knowledge or patience to delete their cookies and return to the home page before accessing the contact form, so it’s not a great solution from my point of view. Is there some combination of settings that would allow the form to be activated, regardless of the order in which the user accepts cookies and accesses the form?Hi Rikard –
Yes, that worked – thank you! Bookmarked for future reference …Yes, can be closed now – thank you.
Hi Ismael –
Thanks for the quick reply. I see what was going wrong now – you have to sign in to themeforest *before* following the link in the email, otherwise it sends you to the purchase page instead of the extend page.
All good now – AshleySeptember 10, 2023 at 6:05 pm in reply to: Proceed to checkout button not working on mobile devices #1418667Hi Mike – I’m not sure that we can close this just yet. I have another customer who has twice tried to pay for items and in each case he says that he is not offered a Proceed to Checkout button, only a GPay button. When I look at the records for his orders, the system shows “Payment via Google Pay (WooPayments)” and under Order Notes, “A payment … was started using WooPayments”. This sounds as though it could be the same problem, and I’ve suggested that the customer try clearing his browser cache and placing another order, but I haven’t heard from him since. Can we keep the call open for a few more days, in case other customers are still having related issues? Thanks – A.
September 7, 2023 at 9:04 am in reply to: Proceed to checkout button not working on mobile devices #1418343You are possibly a genius. Fixed from iPhone and presumably therefore fixed on other platforms that were having the same problem. Thank you!
It could be worth checking that this isn’t an issue for all users, as I think I’m otherwise using only default settings for my basket.
Hi –
Once again, you are exactly right – needing to update WooCommerce was the only issue. All fixed now, and the thread can be closed.
Many thanks –Hi Rikard –
Yes, all fixed, and you can close the thread now. Many thanks for all your help – A.Yes! That was the problem – in fact, after I’d renamed the files, I found that two of the objects with .pdf download links couldn’t even be edited to update the links (when I tried to edit the objects, the edit box was empty and the box itself was missing all the tabs apart from the first) and instead needed to be deleted and recreated. After I did that, everything worked normally. Many thanks for all your help on this – A.
Hi Nikko –
Thanks for the quick response. It doesn’t feel to me that the problem is with a text block not loading, as the old version of the page appears to load fully in both view and edit modes. It seems that the problem is with the edited version of the page not saving – I can also see that the text on the Update button doesn’t change from “Updating…” after clicking (although I do get the message that the changes have been saved, with the option to view the page), and if I reload the page and go to edit it again, I see a message that there is a newer autosaved version, suggesting that the previous editing session wasn’t correctly terminated. I’ve now enabled Debug Mode, so let me know what you can find out!
Many thanks – Ashley
Hi Mike –
Many thanks for your reply. I’ve now updated to PHP 7.4.25 and Enfold 4.8.7.1 but I’m still getting the same problem. The editor looks a lot better, with no obvious conflict, but any changes to elements on the page are not saved – if I click on the Update icon, the system reports that the page has been updated, but when I go to view the page I can see that it has not changed. Please advise what to try next!

You’re right! That’s exactly what I was doing. All fixed now – many thanks for explaining.
All best – Ashley
That worked – thank you! Much easier than using the Add Theme button …
I have a second question … I noticed that the Instagram icon hasn’t been updated to match the current style – is there a way that I can change this?

February 28, 2019 at 12:10 pm in reply to: Updating to Enfold 4.5 and validating Personal Token #1072617Hi Victoria – Can you please solve my problem @1071388? Since I moved this website to the latest version of WordPress, I have been unable to edit it, and it no longer opens on iOS machines. I suspect that the reason is that Enfold needs to be updated, but I cannot get the updater to work. I cannot continue to use Enfold if I cannot solve this problem. This is my third request. Please help. Thank you –

February 25, 2019 at 6:11 pm in reply to: Updating to Enfold 4.5 and validating Personal Token #1071388Hi – I’m having problems updating from Enfold 3.8.4 – I’ve downloaded the .zip file and installed the “Update… from Zip File” plugin, but when I go to Add Theme / Upload Theme, choose the .zip file and click on Install Now, I just get “Waiting for response from [domain name]”. Please help! Thank you –

Hi Rikard –
Did you see my reply and link yesterday?
Thanks – AshleyHi Rikard –
Thank you for your quick reply.
I’d like to have as little as possible in the space between Product Gallery and Linked Products – if I could, I’d remove all the Recent Posts, Recent Comments, Archives, Categories and Meta links. Is there a way to do that without getting into serious coding?
Many thanks – Ashley
