Hey Rikard, it’s PHP 8.0, thanks!

November 20, 2019 at 2:01 am in reply to: Can't get privacy / cookie consent acceptance to work #1158328Hi Ismael. No, I had not tried this as it’s a live site. I have just done so, switching off 12 active plugins. I then tested, and turned them on in order.
It now seems the agree button on the privacy area is be working, which is good. I don’t know what the issue was, but I will continue to monitor it, in case the culprit becomes obvious
Thanks for your help.

Have deleted site cache and tried logging in on other browsers but still no change. I suspect a conflict or other issue.
Have provided login creds in case you can look and advise what the problem might be. Thanks in advance.November 8, 2019 at 4:49 pm in reply to: Can't get privacy / cookie consent acceptance to work #1155055I’ve unfortunately not been able to resolve this… would be grateful for some input or steer please. Thanks.
Yep, all good now… thanks for the solution!
Thanks Rikard.
At first it didn’t look successful, but after flushing CSS and cache I think that’s worked
As the page had 3 instances of the FW slider (2 inline which I wasnted to fix) I altered the code slightly
.page-id-7712 #after_full_slider_2 .page-id-7712 #after_full_slider_3 { display:none; }

Plus you’ve prompted me to start to comment, clean up and validate my Quick CSS… something I have been meaning to do for ages! 😄
August 9, 2018 at 8:14 am in reply to: Unwanted space at top of footer on some pages, not on others #995278No, it’s still in place… it just hasn’t had any effect unfortunately.

August 8, 2018 at 6:09 pm in reply to: Unwanted space at top of footer on some pages, not on others #995098Thanks.
Tried in both Quick CSS and style.css and unfortunately this hasn’t fixed the issue.
August 4, 2018 at 1:42 pm in reply to: Unwanted space at top of footer on some pages, not on others #993508Thanks for your help Victoria. I think there has been a misunderstanding though… I want to remove or reduce the padding (so there is very little space between the top edge of the footer area, and the logo). This code increases it by 50px!
The issue is that some pages display the footer as I intended, and others do not. All the pages use the Avia Advanced Layout. This is happening on several different sites I use Enfold with (see links to private content below)
I have tried this code in Quick CSS, custom.css in Enfold, and style.css in Enfold Child… none give the correct result on all pages.
Do you have any other options to try?August 3, 2018 at 11:19 am in reply to: Unwanted space at top of footer on some pages, not on others #993186I still can’t find a solution for this issue, all help gratefully received :-)
UPDATE: Looks like it was a plug-in conflict. I was experiencing a few other issues and after toggling a bunch of different plug-ins on and off, it seems to have resolved itself.

Hey Jordan, thanks. That replacement .php file works for me!

August 9, 2017 at 2:05 pm in reply to: Change default style for Fullwidth Easy Slider caption title from H2 to H6? #836403Thanks Sarah, that works.
I already use a child theme and I don’t want to lose this modification when Enfold next updates Should I save a copy the modded av-helper-slideshow.php in the child folder structure eg:
enfold-child/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/av-helper-slideshow.php
Or is there a Quick Code I can use direct in Enfold styling options?
Not sure if it will work for you, but I found when the transition for my fullwidth easy slider on my frontpage was set to ‘fade’ it sometimes did not correctly start the slideshow. I changed the transition to ‘slide sidewards’ and it behaved much better.
March 29, 2016 at 3:04 pm in reply to: How to add a widget area over a fullwidth easy slider? #604595Ok Andy, though that might be the case, cheers!
March 28, 2016 at 5:58 pm in reply to: How to add a widget area over a fullwidth easy slider? #603957Hi, and thanks for the answer. Think we might be misunderstanding each other though… this doesn’t answer my question!
I would like to add a widget on top of a fullwidth easy slider, instead of using the caption option.
The fullwidth easy slider allows me to add images or videos into a slideshow. However when it comes to adding an overlay the options are pretty limited: I can add a caption title, text, and a button. I can add a different caption for each slide, or keep the same one on all of them. This is a good start but doesn’t give me the flexibility I would really like.
I have some extra functionality in a widget on my website and would like to be able to place this on top of the fullwidth easy slider so I can get a slideshow and give customers the extra functionality needed. I can’t do this with the default caption/button options.
I can’t see a way to do this (have checked the documentation & shortcodes but didn’t see a solution). However I did see the tip about adding a widget area to the header, and wondered if there might be a similar custom way of adding this for the main page content when it displays a fullwidth easy slider? Thanks for taking the time to read and answer this.
January 29, 2016 at 3:04 pm in reply to: Cannot style or display a 3rd party widget from OpenTable correctly #574576And you will need to delete any instances of the original OpenTable widget code you may’ve used… I found they conflicted.
January 29, 2016 at 3:03 pm in reply to: Cannot style or display a 3rd party widget from OpenTable correctly #574574Yes, but that’s because I’m in the UK and only the US is served with the free version. The free version worked, just not with correct date formatting.
January 29, 2016 at 2:48 pm in reply to: Cannot style or display a 3rd party widget from OpenTable correctly #574562Ooops, I shouldn’t type when I’m tired… I am using Enfold. I have edited my earlier post.
Yes, the Opentable widget sucks. It sucks so much it even displays their old logo, not the rebranded one. Makes you wonder where the priorities of a web-based reservations company lie!
Use the 3rd party widget, it works properly, and is much more customisable!
January 29, 2016 at 12:10 am in reply to: Cannot style or display a 3rd party widget from OpenTable correctly #574190No Monica, like Andy said, it really doesn’t play well with Enfold… lots of very weird CSS display issues.
Luckily there is a very good third party widget which allowed me to style it as I needed. This solved my issue!

January 27, 2016 at 12:04 am in reply to: Cannot style or display a 3rd party widget from OpenTable correctly #572455Hi. Ok, that’s not a big help.
It is a pretty small snippet of code for this widget: if you can tell me if there’s a function or method to work around this, then I can either investigate more myself, or brief it in another developer. But to just say I have to style the widget myself isn’t really helping me.
Is there a way to override or redefine CSS for some 3rd party code like this when using Enfold? Thanks in advance.
Ah, that’s brilliant and works perfectly. Plus I can even change white for the hex colour I need and it works too. Cool!
Thanks Yigit! :)
