are you sure this is a theme related question? what would happen if you activate a default WordPress theme? would you get the same result? if yes it would be best to ask your question in general WordPress forum. I think you should try the plugin Ismael mentioned and maybe even Yoast plugin could help you.

are you using “Recent Posts” widget for this? if yes this is standard WordPress behavior. If you want to change this you would need to search a plugin with such a function or ask in general WordPress forum.

I checked your machu picchu image with different browser sizes and on chrome developer tools and on http://ipadpeek.com/ and it looks totally fine for me (not like in your screenshot from first post). Could you fix it?

Hm? not sure what you mean. If you want only one column in post slider why not choose only one column when editing post slider element? simply look for “Columns. How many columns should be displayed?”.

I can’t really see anything at your gif, because it’s simply too fast, I don’t see any issue at all there. However, I checked your website again and can see what you mean there. How did you implement those tooltip images? did you use any plugin for this function? If not then try to deactivate all plugins, to check if one is causing this problem. Are you using any caching plugin? if yes clear cache in it and switch it off, before deactivating the whole caching plugin.

für gewöhnlich brauchen wir bei all den vielen Anfragen hier im Forum schon mal 24h um zu antworten. Dass ich dir jetzt schon antworte, ist eigentlich eher eine Ausnahme.
Wenn ein FTP Upload nicht klappt, hat das eher weniger mit dem Theme zutun, sondern eher etwas mit deinem Server. Frage deinen Host wie du es hinbekommst, dass du Daten auf deinen FTP Server hoch laden kannst.
Welche Fehlermeldung erhältst du bei der WordPress-Installation?
