Afterwards clear browser cache and hard refresh a few times.

2.) That is happening because the subfolder / framework can not be replaced inside a child theme.

3.) Use a chid theme to avoid this.

make sure that caching plugin is switched off, before you deactivate it complete. Deactivate all plugins but The Events Calendar Plugin to check if one is causing a conflict.

If this does not help then there might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:
