Hi Mike,
It seems that after some propagation (possibly), that the site is loading now as it should do.
Thank you for your assistance in this.
Kind regardsHI MIke,
The server PHP limit has been increased to 300 seconds but it is not affecting the way the theme is loading when Woo Commerce is turned on.
Can you continue to help me troubleshoot this please?
Thank youOK…Can you try to see what is happening after the Woo Commerce plugin is activated.
Once I switch this back on, the site does not load – so it appears that this is the cause of the breakdown.
There is a debug file in the WooCommerce<Status<Log which may help.Again, the site does load when switched tot the generic theme – so really keen for you to help me resolve this.
Thanks again.HI MIke,
Thank you for the reply.
When I switch to a different theme, the site works and loads as it should.
Does this not mean that the issue lies in a conflict with your theme?
It was working perfectly fine until the update to the new version.
Surely there has to be a better way to troubleshot this?
ThankJanuary 8, 2019 at 7:58 am in reply to: CAN SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!! Website Down after update to 4.5.2 #1051271Is anyone able to respond to this please?
I see that multiple other issues are being resolved above mine – it would be nice to have someone reply here to give me an update.
Many thanksHI Michael,,
I have renamed the plugin via FTP and cleared the cache which has the site back online.
But the issue has not been fixed – just papered over for now.a) It had been down for approx 24 hours.
b) minimal coming soon maintenance mode
c) 7.0
d) 4.4.1 – I tried updating to 4.5 last week and it took down the site – so I reverted. Also running WordPress 4.8.1 – want to wait for the kinks to be ironed out before updating to 5.0
e) Not using a child theme.Cheers
HI Mike,
Happy New Year and thank you for responding.
I do not want to use the Avia builder on another theme – I want to be able to switch between the default editor and the Avia Builder Editor without losing content – is that possible?
If you follow the thread above it appears that now I can switch between page content viewed on the AVia Builder and the Default editor without it disappearing – All that happens is that the short code appears –
Is it possible to do this for posts too? When I switch between the ones which were written in the Avia builder to the default editor, the actual content goes blank and is not view-able.
This is what I want to resolve.
And with the pages it would be ideal if I could switch and not have the shortcodes appear – but I understand that this is not possible.
Am I correct in that? Many thanks
Is there any chance you could respond to my questions above please?
Or is there a time which support are online which I can talk/chat live – it is very hard to get changes made when I have to wait for days for a reply.
Many thankaHi Yigit,
I appreciate your time on this.
So if I wanted to switch theme, I would have all that shortcode included on pages which were built initially with the AVIA builder?
And one which were built in the Default would not?
Is that correct?I also need to know why this is not working for POSTS? When I switch between layouts the text disappears. So if a post was created in the AVIA builder and I want to switch to the Default Editor, it vanishes, only to reappear when I switch back to the AVIA builder.
How can we fix this? And was that debug mode something I would have changed along the way, or was that part of an update.
Again, I appreciate you being able to help me get clarity on this.
Thanks- This reply was modified 7 years ago by Amajjika.
Hi Yigit,
I can see the pages now, but they have the shortcode in when I look at the default editor.
How can I just see them without all that shortcode?By the way, I do not want to see shortcodes and all of the html behind thes cenes of the AVIA builder.
I want to be able to switch back to the default WordPress editor and still have my content there.
That is all I want…nothing more or less!!yes I need assistance! Thank you…
How do I make it so I can switch editor without the page going blank?
Hi Yigit,
DO you have any input to the reason why I cannot switch between WordPress and the AVia builder without the content disappearing? That is actually why I started this thread.
I will follow the debugging instructions
Thanks
Hi Victoria,
I apologise for duplicating the issue.
I have added the logins down below.
Thank you for your help on this.December 17, 2017 at 5:59 am in reply to: Visual Builder Broken – Text goes missing or is distorted #889746Hi Victoria,
I have switched to PHP 7.0 and there is no change.
I tried that previously and even went to version 5.6 in case that was causing the issue.
Are there any particular PHP Options or Extensions that need to be selected in order for this to work?I will leave it on 7.0 for now and see if it makes a difference for you.
Thanks againDecember 15, 2017 at 5:01 pm in reply to: Visual Builder Broken – Text goes missing or is distorted #889335Is someone able to help me with this please?
December 15, 2017 at 7:25 am in reply to: Visual Builder Broken – Text goes missing or is distorted #889208ello again,
Just to update you – I am able to go into SOME pages and switch between Default and Advanced.
So what you are saying John, is simply not true. For eg. I can switch between these pages Default and Advanced with no loss of content in default:
These are but two to show it is possible.
Have you logged into the site to get a better understanding of the issue, or is this just a general hypothesis?
I would really appreciate someone taking a deeper look at this –I repeat that this is NOT something which was a problem previously.
Now the site is buggy and I am unable to work as I need to, and switch between styles.
I cannot see what is causing the conflict on some and not on others.Thank you again!
December 15, 2017 at 5:53 am in reply to: Visual Builder Broken – Text goes missing or is distorted #889193Hello again,
Are you able to respond to my previous inquiry please?
Is this something which came from an update?
And was I able to do this in the past: ie. switch between builder and WordPress?
ThanksDecember 14, 2017 at 10:45 am in reply to: Visual Builder Broken – Text goes missing or is distorted #888808Hi John/Victoria,
So this is something which happened in the latest updates?
Is there going to be a fix made for this?
Many thanks againDecember 14, 2017 at 1:54 am in reply to: Visual Builder Broken – Text goes missing or is distorted #888686Hi Victoria,
I was wondering if you had an update on this for me?
Many thanksDecember 13, 2017 at 5:07 pm in reply to: Visual Builder Broken – Text goes missing or is distorted #888455Hi Victoria,
I have created a test page called 012345 TESTING and added your credentials.
You can see how when you switch the text disappears. There also seem to be other glitches like text being distorted on certain occasions.
I am unable to replicate that issue right nowRegards
December 13, 2017 at 4:25 pm in reply to: Visual Builder Broken – Text goes missing or is distorted #888419Hi Victoria,
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
We used to be able to switch between standard and advanced layout builder easily in the past and the content would not be affected.
It is only recently that when we began switching, the content would get distorted or go missing. Was there an update recently that changed something?
Regards
