Hi, sorry to bother you again on a similar topic, but how do i get rid of excess padding on the margins in mobile display using regular columns or color sections (not a grid) ? I like a lot of padding on my blog entries but this smashes the copy into a thin column on mobile. thanks.
Hi. It seems that you fixed this, but now I have run into this problem again. imported the new file of icons but the selection only shows empty squares. please advise, thanks. Jen
aha! of course! thanks…. i turned them off in jetpack, fixed. So… what is your opinion of JetPack in general? and are there any compatibility issues with enfold we should know of? appreciate you input. thx again. jen

@thinayr, can you specify what updates you performed between then and now which might account for the improvement you experienced? I am not aware of any recent safari or enfold updates which might have made a difference. Thanks for your help. btw… love your site. :-) jenthanks for your input. thinayr, above, mentioned they were hosted by MediaTemple, through a wordpress-specific plan. not godaddy. i’m sure there are many who aren’t speaking out. i have spent hours with godaddy on this issue. we went thru every setting ini php server config and all thru the apc issue, as you recommended. see above. no luck. they say switch themes. you say switch hosts. ok. Which hosting alternative do you recommend? Which ones will run enfold correctly? is shared hosting a cause of these problems? if i could confirm the cause, i would correct it. thx.
UPDATE: Ismael: I just received this email from our helper at godaddy: “The issue with Managed WordPress we were discussing does look to be with mobile iOS and Safari. There was a news article that came out about a week ago documenting the issues within Safari and that Apple was working on a fix.” Am trying to get ahold of this article – will share what I find out. It certainly makes sense that this might be a safari issue since we seem to have exhausted all else. thanks. fingers crossed.

Hi. Thanks for your continuing efforts. No, I do not have enfold running on other hosts. However, we have seen several other Enfold users report the same problem with other hosting providers. There was another thread going on the same topic here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/slider-menu-missing-on-homepage-mobile/
But, there must be an explanation to why this is happening. It’s only with Safari, that we know of. We love Enfold theme, except for this one major problem that it doesn’t work on iPhones. We do not want to have to switch themes. Is there anything else you can do to help? thanks.

This is a really old thread but I just realized I never solved this problem. I tried the code but it did not work. The password field still goes across the whole width of the page. Is there a way to customize the field length? thanks.
HI. Sorry for all my edits on this post. We had another concurrent issue with our sites being down and I wasn’t sure if they were related. Sites are all back up now.
Cache: I have tested the new plug in, cleared cache, and all, signoff/on as instructed — but the mobile display problem persists.
Installed the plug in on my other site & test site, as well. Problem persists on all the sites.Are there any specific settings we should modify that might help?
This mobile display problem is persistent on iPhones tho not every time. Sites randomly appear corrupted up after clearing data. We continue to test this on several IOS mobile devices and models. Feel like we have tried everything. Other users are reporting same issues. Is it a Safari issue? Please advise, thanks. Jen
hi elliot. thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, ¼ width on each side is much more padding than I need. I would like to use the grid row within a color section but the editor does not allow it. please advise. thanks. jen
Not finding WP Rocket plug in. Is that the correct name? Yes, supposedly WP Super Cache is compatible – but it will not activate and when the host finds it they remove as “blacklisted”. any other products I might try? thanks for your continuing help with this issue.
[The header on one of my sites just randomly changed from white to black on mobile. Happens every now and then ( in addition to the messed up menus, and failure of slider to load). Another one of my sites is now showing up with no menu and no layer slider at all – there are quite a few display issues going on here. they seem to show up randomly each time i clear my data. thx.]
Hi Andy, thanks for the code. Yes, you are right what we really need is the extra overlay, not reduced opacity — just like what you have in the background settings of a color section. You give the option for video or image, and there’s a tab for overlay. It’s a very nice feature. We want to achieve that same effect in a cell, with the text on top at full opacity so it stands out. Sounds like that is not possible here but thanks for checking. Yes, we create separate images in photoshop. Curious, might this overlay option be added in a future update? Thanks for your help. Jen
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it says that neither of these plugins are “available”. Seems I can download but cannot activate. There is a warning at the developer site which states: “Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress”. When I try to activate, I get an error saying the plug in is not allowed. What do you recommend? Jen
EDIT: the host pulled those two plugins off my site (they were installed but not activated) as “blacklisted”, today. Are there any other cache plug ins you might recommend that I try? your suggestions are much appreciated. jen

On a related styling note, is it possible to customize the letter spacing in the H Tags? I do not see this option in the advanced styling options. thanks.
