Hi there, no, no custom CSS. I’ve cleared cache, removed all advanced stylings, etc..
Hi Rikard,
I’m not sure, I’m including my login details in the private section for you to checkout.
Cheers,
Hi Rikard, if you visit http://www.tradedoctors.com, you’ll notice the images in the slider and the images below near the contact form are translucent(invisible). Would ou be able to take a look?
Thanks!
Ben
Hi Victoria, thanks for checking. I somehow deleted the entire homepage and had to start over. The accordion you see only uses pictures, not PDFs. The original format isn’t there anymore as I went with this. Thanks anyway. Cheers.
Hi all,
I took the day to redo everything since it was fresh in my brain. No need to fiddle around with this one but thanks for the help anyway. Cheers!Hi there, didn’t want to create a new thread since this is relevant to the PDF Embedder. I followed the steps and tried multiple plugins but the error is always the same: “Missing PDF: etc….” I’ve uploaded the PDF multiple times and for some reason, it’s as if it’s not finding it.
Including the details below. Thanks for any help!
Hi Nikko, thanks for the feedback but my issue is with a Page, not a layerslider. I only mentioned layerslider in my previous post because that seems to be the only thing displaying correctly on the new front page.
The problem is with the current front page, the one I was working on is nearly complete and the one that is currently showing appears to be the original template.
Just to be clear, the current front page is the problem, I’m wondering where my page went, the one I was working on which is also called “welcome”.
Thanks again for your help!
Ben
That worked great although now there are some bullet points at the top of the page lol
How do I remove those?

July 27, 2016 at 5:09 am in reply to: Advanced Styling Main Menu Links Element not responding #665603Hi Vinay,
I added the child theme but still no luck. Its like its not registering anything I do in the advanced styling.
Hi, no problem.
Actually, I tried to change the menu font and color in the advanced styling but that also doesnt work. Seems like something else is taking priority.
I tried changing that before as well, no go. I modified the code but still no change. Any ideas?
Thanks a million Yigit!
That works beautifully!
Ben
You are awesome Vinay! I never would have thought of that!
Thanks man!
Ben
Awesome! Works perfectly.
Thank you,
Ben
Sounds good, including below in private content.
Thank you
Hi Rikard,
That changed the font size for the accordion but not the tabs item.
Any ideas?
Ben
That worked perfectly! Now something is going ton with my text in the actually content section, would you have the code to change that font size as well?
Thanks a million!
Ben
Hi Jordan,
You guys are just awesome! I love how you always understand exactly what I’m asking! Thanks again!
Ben
Actually, I just did the same thing but used the code inside a color section and it worked perfectly! Thanks again!
Hi Yigit,
I’ve added the custom css to the codeblock in the “contact” page but it is still showing up? Any ideas? And I did add the quick css: .hidealex { display: none !important; }
Thanks!
Hi Yigit!
That is exactly what I want to do, but I do not know anything about CSS code. I turned on custom css but I don’t know what code I would use to hide the code block. I would imagine I give my code block and ID like “codeblock” and the I would go to Quick CSS and add a code that “hides” any element that has “codeblock” but I don’t know what to write.
Thanks again for your patience! You’re always great!
Ben
Hi Yigit!
Thank you so much for your answer! This is certainly helpful! The only issue is that I use the codeblock on a variety of pages, in the code above, I would need to include this code for each page where I would like to hide the code block.
For this reason, forgive me newbiness again for not knowing how to use the developer ID of the color section. If I wanted to hide the color section, I would I do that?
Thanks again!
Benjamin
Hi Rikard,
This worked beautifully for a while but now its starting to cause problems with other pages that have other elements on them. In the past, we added a color section and put the code block inside of it. Then we added some kind of custom ID or developer ID to hide the section/code block. I think this is the best solution but I’m open to others as well.
Thanks again for your help!

Hi Ismael,
Thank you so much for actually going through my site and creating an example. While no words can express my gratitude, it is not exactly what I’m looking for. I will not be using a menu at all. The effect that you created on the “film portfolio” image is perfect, although there is no way for me to put that image exactly where I want it, how can I control where it is positioned.
In a perfect world:
1. I want to add an image using the image tab in the content section of the advanced layer slider
2. I would like that image to have a link which I can add in the Link section of the advanced layer slider
3. I want to give the image a unique “attribute ID” like “image-123”
4. I want to add a code block on the page where the advance layer slider is shown and add the code that will:
Show original image, then show 2nd image upon hover, and back to original when not hovering. In a previous post, you replied with this for a similar problem:
************************************************************************************************************************************
Hey!OK. On the frontpage, we created a new section with the code block element inside. You can add the icon css modifications inside the code block: http://alextomaszewski.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=389&action=edit
We modified the hover state of the imdb icon for example, using this code inside the code block element:
img#imdb-icon:hover {
background: blue !important;
}
You can do the same for the other icons. Add a unique id in the attributes panel then place the css code in the code block.Best regards,
Ismael
********************************************************************************************************************Instead of the background changing, I want the picture to switch to a different picture upon hover.
What is the code for that?
Thanks again Ismael! You’re the best!
Benjamin
I’m not very good with code at all, I understand how enfold works as I’ve been using it for a few years now, but my coding ability is next to zero. I can bold and italicize some stuff but thats about it. :)
If you’ve already given me the answer, I apologize for not being able to apply it to the advanced layer slider.
Thanks again! You guys are really great!
Ben
Hi Ismael,
This is great info, but will this work for the advanced layer slider? What if I have a picture that is a layer, and I want that picture to change on hover. Thats it. The code above looks like it would work for a picture as a separate element on the page.
Thanks again for the help on this one! I know its probably a super basic question!
Ben
Hi Ismael,
Forget about the menu item. I simply want to know the code that changes an image to another image upon hover in the advanced layer slider. I know this is possible, I know I need to give the “layer” in this current case the Enfold Logo (see http://alextomaszewski.com/originalcontent/ ) an attribute ID. Then using the code block element I can add a code that says upon hover change to image 2 and if no hover show image 1. I am not sure what the code/styling should be for this, this is what I need help with.
Once I have this I can finish the website. Thank you again for your patience and help.
