I had 6 sites crash when updating all had an error string. All Godaddy.
All had this error string:
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in ……/wp-content/themes/enfold/header.phpI hired someone to fix and he said there was a bug in the header code. Will there be a patch for this?
December 22, 2017 at 3:29 pm in reply to: Enfold Theme Glitch Mobile Menu on Secondary pages only #891606Hi Rikard,
Sorry, I fixed this last night – The problem was that the SSL was insecure. When I updated some links in the Logo, Favicon, and footer to include the “s” in https:// the glitch went away.
Thank you for replying and maybe this will help anyone else with this problem
Your theme is GREAT!
I think I figured it out…. This doesn’t seem to work on a page where you are also playing a video (full screen slider) that is playing fomr your site… and when I copied and pasted an & turned into a & so the link you provided worked when I fixed that! Thank you!!!!
Hello Guenni007,
Thanks for the awesome tips! The video is playing nice, but it is replacing the whole window, rather than in a lightbox.
I have a floating piece of text in the bottom right. If the user clicks on it, a video pops, but you do not leave the page. Masonry gallery, icon links, and other enfold elements do this… I just cannot figure out the text.
June 14, 2017 at 7:15 pm in reply to: Fullscreen Slider – Slideshow Autorotation Duration to .5 seconds or faster #808164Is there a way to change this in Quick CSS – so it will not overwrite when I update the theme?
By the way, I am having issues with Yahoo emails from contact form 7 and enfold contact form. I found that Yahoo and Gmail have spam policies. If the “from” is a yahoo and not sent through yahoo servers, the email on yahoo and gmail and other providers will be rejected.
Hi Yigit,
Thank you for the quick response. Will changing the functions.php be overwritten on future theme updates? Is it possible to avoid creating a child theme, and just create a plugin to accomplish this?
Thanks again… Dale

Hi,
If you look at the screenshot link above, that is the actual WordPress Dashboard. It shows a very outdated Enfold version, and says it is up to date. It’s been 3 days, and I am expecting at some point a representative will respond with relevant information? We have paid for many licenses for this product… ?
This is what I see continually: (click on the image to enlarge) http://118group.com/download/
In both. How do you receive the updates? Through email or through the dashboard?
Yes that is the concerning part. We put in the theme forest username and API and we continually have to manually update. It is not automatic and we do not receive alerts.
February 4, 2016 at 4:18 am in reply to: Send a copy of the autoresponder text in contact form to me and sender #577524The person who submits the form gets the auto respond text and their information they inputted into the form. The owner of the website only gets a copy of the information they inputted into the form – they do NOT get the auto respond text too. I am doing this because I am sending the terms and conditions of the application form to them and I also want to receive a copy of the terms and conditions(just in case I change the terms I want to know the version of the terms they were sent). Is there a way to send the auto responds text to BOTH the user and owner of website?
Here you go

December 29, 2015 at 10:59 pm in reply to: Data Table Headings Dissapear in Tablet and Mobile Sizes #558276I figured it out. You can only have a one word heading for some reason. That’s why it only showed the first 4 and not the rest.
Overall very happy with what enfold has to offer. Thank you.November 20, 2015 at 12:33 pm in reply to: unable to receive contact form submissions to sms email #539465Sorry for the late reply, thank you.
September 25, 2015 at 2:45 pm in reply to: Bit confused on how Enfold sizes images for the full-width parallax effect. #509055I figured it out. When your editing the color section – section background tab – if you have the background attachment on the fixed or parallax it zooms it to about 30% larger. But when it is on scroll the background image appears like the way you want it to be.
Theme is great – thank you!

June 3, 2015 at 10:32 pm in reply to: Logo element is broken. Any Image I use shows a broken image. #454116I figured it out. I had a child theme installed and I fixed the issue by uninstalling it and using the regular theme.
May 27, 2015 at 5:48 pm in reply to: Masonry gallery lightbox linking to blank page with image #450719Some how my “Lightbox Modal Window” settings under theme options was unchecked! I don’t know how that happened.
May 10, 2015 at 7:27 am in reply to: Adding Image to right side of header – child theme needed? #442065This reply has been marked as private. It is working now on the desktop (if you shrink it to mobile size), and in incognito mode on my smartphone. It may just be a problem with chrome on my phone. Can you double check on your phone to see if the mobile menu is loading correctly?
Thank you
