Hello,
I have Enfold Version: 3.2 installed and want to update to the latest Version.
I am using a Child Theme for my personal customizations.
I´ve already backed up my current installation using updraft plus.I´ve looked up your recommendations on how to update Enfold.
My problem:
1. There is no update theme option in my dashboard. I assume this might be due to
my rather old version of enfold…(?)2. Trying manual install: In this article : https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/
you recommend using “WordPress XML Import” to export template builder data.
Does this mean I have to buy a $99 plugin, if I have to update Enfold? This cannot be…
Please help me on this, if I got this wrong or not. Also if there is a free and simple alternative!

Hi,
You should be able to update manually using FTP, just make sure you have proper backups of the site. How you back it up is not really important. You could also try to do the update on a staging version of the site first to see if you run into any problems before updating your production site.
