I have a client who wants businesses listed on their site in a directory kind of way – but those themes are very limiting. I’d love to use Enfold and have the directory part be a plugin but I can’t seem to find any that do the same as the better directory themes out there. Are there any that you would recommend?

Which of those plugins would you recommend personally. I’ve tried half of them and can’t seem to find a solution that works with Enfold.
I settled with https://codecanyon.net/item/institutions-directory/19404510 because I saw that if paired with Visual Composer you could create your own templates for individual listings. Unfortunately Visual Composer and Enfold don’t seem to pair well together and the columns aren’t recognized.
Have there been any successful directory sites built using Enfold where the layout builder could be utilized to build a listing layout?
And just for reference https://www.grhealthyliving.com/directory/marie-catribs/ is what a listing looks like when using the Visual Composer – everything’s supposed to be in columns that aren’t being recognized. Thoughts?

Sorry, Visual Composer is not compatible with Enfold.

MikeUnfortunately it doesn’t help as all listings are pointing to a page and I tried placing all of the shortcodes in Enfold’s layout builder but the shortcodes only seem to work with Visual Composer installed.
Are there any other directory plugins out there that you would recommend that could use Enfold’s layout builder?

I did some search and could not find something that might have been used before.
The strange thing is that the shortcode does not play with Enfold Builder, it should as a shortcode is supposed to be executed everywhere so
it should work with Enfold just fine….Best regards,

Are there any directory plugins that would work with Enfold? Or can you point us in a direction to be able to continue using the wonderful simplicity and efficiency of Enfold and be able to have directory pages on the same website?

Sorry we don’t have a directory of plugins, but we do have a thread: Recommended plugins, but as it’s very long it may be better to search Google like this: “Enfold””name of your plugin”
This forum is well indexed by Google, but if you don’t know which plugin to use it will be tricker.
I’m not sure what you are looking for in a directory plugin, but why not use the portfolio ajax element, it gives you a nice image and title, then when you click it there is lots of room for text, links, and more images.
It is big and bold, and it will make your directory stand out.
There are thousands of people using those plugins, and they all look the same.Best regards,

I hope you guys don’t mind me posting this info, but GeoDirectory V2 that we just released few days ago is 100% compatible with the Avia Builder.
You can use our shortcode button on shortcode or html modules and there is a shortcode for each design/data element of the directory.
