    Dear Kriesi Support:

I experience the same problem described here:

    Then followed the instructions here:
    https://kriesi.at/support/topic/having-problems-after-updating-to-wordpress-4-5-please-read-this-first/
I added the code given at the end of that post to my Enfold Child theme’s function.php file and that fixed it.

Question: how can I go about tracking down the culprit if all plugins are up to date? (In other words, after updating all plugins, I removed the snippet and the problem returned, so I had to put it back.)

    Please advise. Thank you.

    Cheers,

    Tim

    Hey hypergolica,

There’s not really a culprit in this case, the problem was that WordPress core updated jQuery to a version which was not compatible with most plugins and our themes as well unfortunately. Updating to the latest version (3.5.3) should fix the issue though and you shouldn’t need the extra piece of code anymore after that.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Dear Rikard,

Many thanks for the reply. I just updated to version 3.5.3 (via FTP) then removed the snippet and that fixed it!

    Cheers,

    Tim
