My reply;
Hello Elliot,
I appreciate your reply and I don’t want to sound harsh, but you are repeating things you know I am aware of because I noted in previous posts..
As I mentioned, using the wand is a hit and miss; sometimes the format type disappears and blog headings (+comments/social media) are gone, and often the element does not have the same features in default mode/you have to manually tweak codelines.
I really think you guys should treat as a bug and have someone take 5-10mins and create the code – so at minimum people can paste the shortcode and have the standard blog headers appear while still using the features of the ALB which they expect to use when purchasing your templates. It is one of the reasons I purchased your template.Again not to sound harsh, but after I starting searching your forums I found users having the same issue and requesting similar help/shortcode as far back as 2013 ! ….. not a good sign that something will be fixed without pushing for it.
Is there someone I can escalate this to?
Thanks :)

Sorry for your thread being closed, I’m not sure why.
As I mentioned, using the wand is a hit and miss;
I’ve never seen or heard anyone report this issue before, could you link to a page where we can see it for ourselves please? A step-by-step instruction on how to reproduce it would be helpful as well.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean by this, but I think Elliott explained how the ALB for posts functions in the previous thread, I don’t have much to add except that the feature will be expanded and worked on in the future so that users understand how it works better.
Again not to sound harsh, but after I starting searching your forums I found users having the same issue and requesting similar help/shortcode as far back as 2013
The feature was introduced in 2015 so I’m having a hard time believing that but you are welcome to link to those threads if you like.
This is the support forum for Kriesi themes and there is no higher or lower level of support.

RikardOctober 2, 2015 at 4:36 pm #512903Hello Rikard,
Thanks for your reply/post.
Re the wand; I found issues if I switch back/forth between default/ALB when I try to see a layout before using the wand to reproduce in default mode, and formatting gets lost. And occasionally happens without warning. My pages are currently housed locally as I build. As noted I must create approx 75posts and either I create really plain looking posts (not our intent when we purchased your template) or the standard blog header is lost – which is unacceptable as it is a blog page as you can understand.
As noted, I can add the footer using the wand (comments, social media etc), but I (and other users) really need the standard header which consists of the post title, date, # of comments, category & author.The bug note, is mainly because due to the way it behaves, and people have made note before and nothing done. I was suggesting as a way to speed up the process to make it work as people expected, wanted, paid for etc.
Re people noting in 2013; https://kriesi.at/support/topic/avia-layout-builder-elements-in-posts-comments-are-missing/
Re support, ok, I guess I expected more when purchasing the template. Also that kriesi charges for ongoing support, which is frustrating if I were to get nowhere.
I don’t know if there is someone I can pay extra for the missing shortcode.
Basically just need the shortcode line that I can paste into a text block while in ALB editor mode to bypass the format type bug problem. This will allow me to use the ALB and have the header appear in a standard way, the same way it does when in default mode and using a standard format type. I would think this is a basic necessity, ie having the post title, date, # of comments, category & author appear on the header. And likely pretty quick for a coder at kriesi to do
Wouldn’t you agree it is very much needed?
Again, not asking you to instantly create a new wand option which is clearly missing, but asking for the shortcode which I can paste to bypass this problem.Thanks for your patience in assisting :)
October 6, 2015 at 10:16 am #514252Hey!
With this bug, the shortcode for the Post title, post date, # of comments, Category and author would be very very helpful. It is not only for the text displayed but there are links to the comments, category & author.
I don’t think it is a bug because that is how we intended the ALB to work for posts. This is to enable users to create custom posts from scratch. Anyway, if you want to add the post meta infos as shortcode, you can create a new element. Refer to this link:
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/post-meta-information-not-appearing-on-single-post-in-restaurant-theme-in-enfold/#post-508189For the post title, please use the Speacial Heading element.
Cheers!
