Re-use testimonial (text) elements

Hi there. I had found a post similar to what Im looking for:

But it was never answered fully.

What myself and this poster is looking for a way to add a text element as widget. In my case the testimonials.
I have a testimonial text element on every page of 50 page site. Now if I want to change the name of one person I have to go to each page and do this.

What we need is the ability to crate a widget and add the widget to each page. So then, if I change the name or a word on one testimonial instance it will change them all.

Is this possible?
I have it as a template but as soon as you add the template to your page, it breaks the link to the template.
