When we try to add an image to an existing webpage, the Media Library acts like it’s trying to load all the images but the images never load.
If we try to add new images to the library, we get the following error:
UPLOADING
Dismiss Errors
Error How-Many-Gui…ographic.jpg
An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later. We tried to deactivate all of our plug-ins to see if that would help, but it did not.
This error is always present at the top of our screen when we’re in the WordPress dashboard, even though we completely deleted the plug-in:
W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/scarolin/public_html/wp-content/object-cache.php.
I’m not sure if the issue is related.
Please help! Thanks!
June 11, 2014 at 10:50 pm #277760Hi,
Does it happen with the default WordPress theme?
Cheers!
JosueJune 17, 2014 at 5:30 pm #280112I’m sorry I didn’t respond sooner, Josue. Thank you for your fast reply.
To answer your question, I’m a little hesitant to change to the 2013 / 2014 WP theme — if I do that, is it going to wipe out all my settings in Enfold? I would hate to put it into the default theme and then not be able to get my website back when I restore Enfold.
Thanks!
June 17, 2014 at 6:37 pm #280148No, it won’t, theme settings are stored per theme basis.
Cheers!

I tried the 2014 WP theme and still had the same problem with the media library loading.
One possibility: We have an error message that reads: W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/[user name]/public_html/wp-content/object-cache.php. We have deleted that plugin but the error message still appears. Could that have anything to do with it?

Try the solutions shared here:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/uninstall-of-w3-total-cache-crashes-whole-wp-site-1If that doesn’t work i think it would be better to contact your hosting provider support as this seems to be a server issue rather than a theme one.

JosueJune 19, 2014 at 8:44 pm #281355Thank you!!!
This worked. There was a single file, object-cache.php, in the wp-content folder, and when that was deleted, the Media Library started working again.
Weeks of frustration over at last…. :-D
