Hello,
I am interested to know if you have any themes that could be good for displaying ceramic pieces for an artist. There are different categories of work, such as early work, recent work, work in style 1, work in style 2, etc. So I would want a nice dropdown for each of these categories. And most, if not all, of the individual ceramic pieces have captions. I appreciate any suggestions you have if any of the themes could work.

JonahFebruary 17, 2024 at 7:32 pm #1434607Hey Jonah Schrogin,
Thanks for your question, the Enfold theme is suitable for many sites and contains many demos that you can choose from.
Based on your example site I would recommend our Elegant Portfolio demo, each image on the frontpage leads to a page with more info, I can imagine each of these images being a ceramic piece offering a lot of detail for each piece the your artist creates.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 18, 2024 at 12:30 am #1434627Hi Mike, thank you for your response. I looked at Elegant Portfolio, and did not see a menu item for Portfolio, and did not see a dropdown of submenu items that could be used for the various categories of artwork. Does that theme have that functionality?

February 18, 2024 at 1:20 pm #1434641Hi,
Yes it does, but this specific demo has images on the homepage, each goes to it’s onw page, these images are what I thought would look nice for your ceramic pieces
Another nice one might be this one it has a portfolio menu item, or perhaps see all of our demos here.
Or you can use the elements to create the layout that you wish, you are not limited to only these.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 18, 2024 at 7:10 pm #1434682For the Minimal Portfolio theme, I had some questions.
– What is the ideal width and/or height in pixels for an individual portfolio item image?
– When you click into a portfolio section, such as this first image in the Design category (iPad & iPhone freebie) I’m wondering if I can see caption information under some or all of the portfolio item images on that page. On the site I’m working on, some of the images have captions, as you can see on this page here.Regards,
JonahFebruary 18, 2024 at 7:33 pm #1434686Hi,
The theme makes a few different sizes when you upload an image, one of them is 705px square and this is what this element typically uses, but you have the option to choose other sizes
You can add a cation, that by default is an overlay:
but in our documentation we provde a solution for it to be under the image.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 18, 2024 at 8:00 pm #1434693Thank you. I am most wondering about the ideal size when it is in the Lightbox. How large can it be? 705px is relatively small. I thought maybe 1500px or 2500px in width? What is the largest size it displays in the Lightbox?
February 18, 2024 at 8:25 pm #1434699Hi,
There is not a max size, it depends on your screen size, you can upload very large images and they will only show within the height of the screen, below I link to a test page with a image that is 2560px x 1963px it shows with a height of 1030px on my screen, so the lightbox close betton works.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 18, 2024 at 8:35 pm #1434700Thank you. That makes me wonder if then the max height would be 1030px, so I could size my images to that size.

February 18, 2024 at 8:55 pm #1434703Hi,
I don’t have a very large Mac screen that some people use, so perhaps you would want to use a larger image, it is up to you though.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 18, 2024 at 9:56 pm #1434710Thank you. I have purchased the theme, so I may have more questions.
