I purchased Enfold about six years ago. I just recently signed into my site after a long time. When I go to edit the text in the Element box on my pages, everything is showing up in short code rather than simple text that I can edit. If I click on “visual” it shows squiggly lines. If I click on “Text” it show short coed. It didn’t used to be like that when I originally put the site together, and it isn’t like that when I create a new page. Only the old, existing pages on my site are that way.

I want to get support but I’m confused about getting a new key. I don’t see the option to renew the key, only to buy a new key. Is that what I have to do? Purchase a whole new key? Will it mess up my website if I purchase Enfold again even though I’m using Enfold already? Thanks

    Hey Christopher,

I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (5.1.2) to see if that helps please? The update to 5.0 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Rikard, thanks for the reply. I don’t know how to do the update even after looking at the instructions . Is there someone I can pay to update it for me? Is there not a service somewhere where I can talk to someone on the phone about website issues and have them fix it? I’m willing to pay for it.

It’s really difficult for me to be going through the different theme and WordPress support boards trying to explain issues and get help. I don’t even really know enough about websites and code terms to even explain the issues properly most of the time.

I don’t understand because on the dashboard it says I am running version 6.0.2. On the “Appearance “ tab it says that I have version 4.1.2.

Also when I go to the Enfold tab and click on theme update it says: “No updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.1.2)

    Hi,

We can update the theme for you. If you need help with that, then please post FTP login details in private, and verify that you have backups of your site.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

FTP login details means details for server access. If you don’t have them, then you can get them through your hosting provider. FTP is not the same as WordPress login details.

    Hi,

Thanks for that. I’ve updated your site to Enfold 5.1.2, please review and check so that everything is working properly. I’ve left the old version on the server, in case you should need to switch back to it. If you should not, then please delete it under Appearance in the WordPress menu. Also please follow this in order to register your theme license: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

Thanks so much! The pages are working properly now!

I’m not able to sign in to Envato though to register the theme. I used the same sign in information that I used at kriesi.at. When I try to sign in it says, “Great to have you back. You can sign in to Envato Elements with your existing Envato account.” It also says, “These are not your correct details. Please try again.”

I tried to do password reset, but none of my existing email addresses are working for it. It’s possible that I originally used an old email address for my Envato account that I no longer am able to access. Any suggestions on how I can sign in and register the theme?

    Hi,

Our support forum and Themeforest are two separate systems, so your details for our forum won’t work at Themeforest. We can’t help you with your login details for Themeforest unfortunately, please try reaching out to their support instead.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
