    Hi,

I want to set-up a Blog page based on the sample you have shown on the theme demo

1/ Blog style landing page masonry:

    2/ Blog entry/article
A template for each shown on the above Masonry landing page. eg.

Does all the above need to be built and then saved as templates OR are they readily availably as Blog templates?
is there a best practice on creating a Blog and content?

    Thanks

    Hey woogie07,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

Pages built using the Advance Layout Builder (ALB) are actually composed of shortcodes. We can provide the shortcodes of a specific demo page but you have to enable the debug mode and manually insert the shortcodes in the shortcodes field. Please check the documentation below for more info on how to enable the debug mode.

    // https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#debug-mode

These are the shortcodes in the blog-masonry/.

You have to place these shortcodes in the shortcodes field located just below the ALB.

    Best regards,

    Hi

    Thanks for the feedback.

Can I not just set the Masonry Blog from a template?
Is there a template for the Blog entries or shortcode?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

There is no existing templates for the blog entries on a blank Enfold installation. You may need to import one of the demo first or follow the instructions that we mentioned above. Please check the following documentation to help you get started with the theme.

    Hi,

I have set up a single image post to mirror the demo you have at https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-2017/2014/08/24/a-nice-entry/

1/ My post does not display the following:
a/ Blog post title and categories
    b/ Image
    c/ Date
    d/ Tags
    e/ Share this entry
    f/ You might also like

Do I need to be enabling anything in the Enfold settings?

I have not defined the main Blog page within Enfold – will this fix all of the above?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Thank you for the info.

Did you switch the editor to Advance Layout Builder (ALB)? Please note that when the advance layout builder is enabled or active, all default elements (title, post meta, tags, date etc) will not display and will have to be added manually using the available elements or shortcodes in the builder.

To add a featured image for example, you can use any of the sliders or insert an Image element, a Special Heading element can be used for the title and the Post Metadata element should display the date and other post info. All of these elements have to added manually in the builder canvas.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

    To confirm.

I can add the title, post date, tags, featured image, using the elements with ALB Builder.

I will be creating a template for this post style, so future posts can be easily created by using the Templates facility in ALB.

I am reluctant to use shortcodes – these aren’t easily editable for my client to create future posts.

    Please confirm

    Thanks
    Marcus

    Hi,

I will be creating a template for this post style || I am reluctant to use shortcodes

Yes, you can save the content of a post as template and reuse it for other posts later on. And just FYI, builder elements are actually shortcodes, and they can be edited manually when the builder is set to debug mode.

    // https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#debug-mode

    Thank you for your patience.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
