    Hi, I am using your Enfold Child Theme for my photo website. Now my website is no longer displayed and the settings from my provider show that there is no update for this theme and that it poses a security risk. What can I do? Do you need the login data for the wordpress backend?

    Hi Thomas,

    I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (5.1.2) to see if that helps please? The update to 5.0 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

    Thank you for your feedback.
    does that mean that I have to buy version 5.0 and only then can I update it? I couldn’t find a download button.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update. You don’t have to buy a new license, since it’s valid for life. You can download the latest version of the theme from your Themeforest account.

    Hi Rikard, good to know… the problem is that my website was set up by an agency and they also bought this theme. When I log into Themeforest I don’t see the purchase. I do not have the access data from Addways_Werbeagentur.
    The API key is: v0wmmqtuz22hj972tzmhlryvj1g2rc8v
    They gave me the API key so that I could install the updates for EnfoldChild myself.
    But when I enter this for verification, it tells me that this is invalid and I get stuck.
    I can set up access data for the backend for you so that you can get your own picture.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the clarification. Are you still in touch with the developers who set your site up? If so, then please try reaching out to them first of all. If you can’t get what you need from them, then I would consider buying a new license. Otherwise you will have this problem every time you want to update the theme, or when you need to access the theme files at Themeforest.
