    Dear Team,
the topic title describes my issue. E.g. on https://zielfoto-hamburg.de/architekturfotografie/ I use the WP rocket plugin, enabled lazy load in the slider, but it is still the case. Do you have any idea how to fix this? Thx a lot & best regards Tilman

    Hey Tilman,

Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (5.0.1) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,
Thanks for the link to your site, I’m seeing this error: Uncaught TypeError: $ is not a function
    2022-06-25_013.jpg
typically this occurs when a script is loaded before the jQuery is loaded, please check that WP rocket is not forcing jQuery in the footer, and check that the option at Enfold Theme Options ▸ Performance ▸ Load jQuery in your footer is not enabled.
There could be a conflict if the WP rocket plugin and Enfold are trying to do the same thing.
If this doesn’t help try disabling the WP rocket plugin lazy load option and clear your cache and check again.
If this doesn’t help please include an admin login in the Private Content area so we can check.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
the jquery options had been disabled in enfold/performance since the beginning. And also before I´ve installed WP rocket (this was just a week ago), the problem occured – in fact from the beginning.

temp login pls see below – would be great if we can find & fix.

thanks again & best regards Tilman

    Hi,

Thanks for that. The problem does not occur when logged in, only when logged out of WordPress. That is an indicator that the problem is cache related, since caching plugins generally don’t load cached content to logged in users. I’m not sure what could be the problem in your particular plugin, but maybe a reset or temporary deactivation would set things straight?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,
as mentioned, the issue occured already in the same way b e f o r e I used the caching plugin. Already with earlier Enfold versions and still now with 5.01. So my take is, there must be another reason. Maybe any other enfold settings and/or a certain custom css part?

    best regards Tilman

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. How can we check and verify the behaviour you are describing? There is no functionality in the theme which would conditionally load or not load images in sliders depending on if a user is logged in or not.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,
hm, – but if you visit my page not logged-in, you can reporduce the described issue at your end as well, right? In fact, the similar problem occurs on my 2nd page listed below as well. I understood that Mike did find the reason – so the question ist still, how to fix ?

Thx again & best regards Tilman

    Hi,

The error message in Mikes screenshot is not there anymore on either of your sites, why that is I can’t say unfortunately.

The problem is there when not logged in yes, but like I wrote before, there’s nothing in the theme which would conditionally load images based on the user being logged in or not. That is typical caching plugins behaviour though, since they won’t display cached content to logged in users. Maybe you could try reaching out to the plugin developers for further help?

    Best regards,
    Rikard
