    A new client of mine asked me to restore his site created in WordPress with the Enfold theme.
    The first step is to update the version of WordPress, the Enfold theme and the plugins.

    The current version of Enfold is 4.5.5.

    I would like to update the current version with the latest version I just purchased.
    Can you advise me how to proceed?

    Hey fruocco66,

    Thank you for the update.

    You will have to update the theme manually just this once, expect to encounter a few issues since you are updating from a very old version of the theme. The latest version is now 4.8.9.1. To learn more about the manual update, please check this documentation.

    I installed the new version of the theme via FTP in a new folder called “enfold-new”.
    Is it possible to have a child theme for the new version?
    In the file downloaded from Theme Forest it is not included.

    Hi,

    You can download a child theme here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/

    If you didn’t rename the new folder, then please rename it to enfold only.

    Hi,
    I installed the version of the theme in FTP by renaming the folder “enfold-new”.

    But when I activate the new theme, a completely blank page appears and to reactivate the site I have to delete the folder of the new version of the theme.

    If I send the login parameters to the BO site and the FTP ones, can you help me solve it?

    Hi,

    Issue was memory limit related. I added following line to wp-config.php file and that helped

    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
