    Hello,

    I would like to use latest news block. I guess the Blog posts block is used for that?
    I would like to have the image preview and I liked the grid view most.
    But then the grid view also shows pages and doesnt want to get sorted by date, although I modified theme as per instruction and all other views get sorted by date but not the grid view.

    Any idea of a solution?

    Thanks for giving us information, I have tested it out on my end with Blog Posts using the Grid layout, the sorting seems to work properly on my end.
    Can you provide us with a staging site? so we can test it? probably some plugins might be interfering with the sorting behavior.

    Thanks for giving us admin access.
    I noticed that your site is still using Enfold 4.8.6 (latest is 4.8.8.1), also WordPress as well as plugins are not updated, can you backup your site first then update WP, Enfold and plugins and see if this helps.

    This is what I get: No updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.8.6)
    From Dashboard -> Updates Enfold update not available.

    I installed this plugin – https://www.envato.com/lp/market-plugin/ to test if it would work however it threw following error

    Incorrect token permissions, please generate another token or fix the permissions on the existing token.

Please ensure only the following permissions are enabled:

    View and search Envato sites
    Download your purchased items
    List purchases you've made

Additional Error Details:
Found too many permissions on token..

    Okay, update is found now.
    I never updated theme before. Anything that might go wrong. I should probably install child theme in advance?

    Hey,

    If you have made modifications on parent theme files, those would be overwritten during update. If you have not made any, you can go ahead and update the theme. If you are planning to switch to a child theme you can refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/ to install and activate it. If you switch to child theme, please insert your Personal Token in Enfold child theme options :)

    Thanks for the detailed instructions.

    When I upload and click install, I get an error – Missing temporary folder.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    Did you create a site backup? Try to manually upload the enfold-child folder in the wp-content > themes folder, then activate it in the Themes panel. You may need to extract it from the zip file first.

    Child theme caused huge mess with home page and css. Restored back.
    Too bad I haven’t done this in the beginning :/

    Hi,

    Have you tried importing Parent theme options in Enfold child theme options > Import & Export tab? You may need to save theme options once again after that.

    I checked your previous threads and it seems like you have added some additional code to functions.php file (which can be moved to functions.php file of your child theme) and some custom CSS. Switching to a child theme should have not caused any issues in your case

    Yes, i did it as you suggest.

    Problem could be css hero. Not sure all the CSS transit to the child theme at all.

    Have you tried de-activating CSS Hero and check if that helps?

    Is this your staging site? If so, can we try updating Enfold to the latest version 4.8.9 and activating child theme?
