Hello Kriesi.
I know this formula is not intended for this question, but I have no other way of contacting you.
Just let me explain why I am coming to you with this.
I am in the situation that I am helping a friend who is using Enfold on her website.
I did not build the site for her, nor did I purchase this theme. The person who bought the theme and set up her site, has since passed. So I do not have any proof of purchase. Only the login for her website and her webhosting.
Well, the problem is. She is now having an error on her site, which I have traced back to the Enfold theme.
It generates: There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions
If I disable the theme in the file manager, the site is back up.
I’ve tried to downgrade wordpress, and disabling every addon – Sadly to no avail.
Hi Thomas,
I see that the site is running an old version of the theme. Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.8.7.1) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. If you don’t have access to the Themeforest account which was used to purchase the license, then you will likely have to buy it again: https://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990
Best regards,
Rikard
