Dear Experts
I would like to avoid to send the IP Address of page visitors to Google just because the Google Fonts are loaded within the Theme. I have set the data privacy option accordingly but this affects only setting a cookie but, as far as I understood, the loading of the Google Font(s) upfront. So I would need the following to be compliant:
a) The Name of a Standard Webfont, that does not collect IP Addresses
b) the Switch to avoid loading the Google Fongt Library before the User Opt-In to use Google Font
c) a way to implement b oth with your ThemeHonestly I thought that you Enfold Data and Cookie Consent already does the trick?!
best regards

Thank you for the inquiry.
Did you set the privacy settings to block the map or external scripts on initial load? Blocking the map should also prevent the font from loading. The font will only load once the user manually adjust the privacy toggles and accepted the cookies. You have to set the Enfold > Privacy & Cookies > Cookie Handling > Default Cookie Behavior settings to the third or fourth option.

thanks for your response. Just for me to rephrase what you wrote: Google Fonts are only loaded, when I allow a Google Service like ReCaptcha or Maps? As I did set the Privacy Option already to OPT-In (third option), which Cookies must I set to true/false to avoid any Google Font loading after Cookie acceptance as I neither want to use the Google services nor the Google Font? And which fonts can I then safely (means they do not collect any IP addresses e.g.) use for your Theme?
best regards
AnjaSeptember 6, 2021 at 6:49 am #1319837Hi,
I was actually referring to the font (Open Sans) that is loaded when using the map element. This is the default font used by the map.
Setting the Default Cookie Behavior to the third option should also block Google Fonts or the font that was selected in the Enfold > General Styling > Fonts panel.
And which fonts can I then safely (means they do not collect any IP addresses e.g.) use for your Theme?
There are Websafe Fonts (Arial, Helvetica) in the fonts settings. You can also upload font files to your server using the Enfold > Import/Export > Custom Font Manager. Please check the documentation for more info.
