    I hope you will be able to help me. I had my site designed about 7 years ago and the developer used your theme – Enfold. He passed the management and support of the site to me about 2 years ago and I have been able to make minor upgrades to it but I am having an issue now.

    On my home page, I am trying to edit a text box and I can’t figure out how to do it. I found the Html code on the page and I have found the format layout. I was able to change the heading on the text box but I am unable to edit the text inside the box. I do not know if the theme is registered or not, but I do know that I did not register it. Can you help me or point me to directions on how to edit a text box. Thank you.

    Did you have access to the admin? If so add that info in the private area as well.

    Hi Elliot,

    Thanks for that. I see that you are running an old version of the theme, so it needs to be updated. Did your developer leave you access to Themeforest? If not then please try reaching out to the developer, so that you can get access to the theme files. If you can’t get access, then you might have to purchase a new license. Otherwise you will have problems each time you want to update, or get access to the theme files.

    Once you have access then the update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
