Like others, WordPress’ requirement to update php (in my case from 5.x to 7.x) critically broke my site that has been working fairly seamlessly for years. I was able to have hostgator roll back to an earlier version of php, which set things right for 1 week. Unfortunately, an attempted sermon post this week corrupted the site and hostgator cannot remediate.
I have more than 10 years worth of sermons posted with titles, info and audio. The data is still there – other than the most current list of sermon posts, which appears blank, there are still pages and pages of prior sermon postings with data still intact. It would be prohibitively time consuming to reattach those audio files to new posts, so my question is whether the new Enfold church theme would display the sermon postings.
I see in similar questions from others that you have asked how sermons were posted. On my site, Incarnation had a page for adding Sermons (like “Posts”), and that is how we did it. Obviously I would prefer not to start from scratch, but if the Enfold Church site were a compatible upgrade, I would be willing to buy it.

Can you give us FTP access on your site?
Also, there won’t be any updates for the Incarnation theme as mentioned in our Blog: https://kriesi.at/archives/wordpress-5-0-and-enfold-4-5-1
But we’ll still try to help you with fixing your site.Best regards,

The site seems to work now, though I will know more when I try to post a new sermon (that’s what killed it last week).Thank you for your assistance.
If I upgrade to enfold church, is there a way to know whether my existing sermon posts would carry over into the new theme? I don’t mind redoing certain page content, but having to redo the media content would be prohibitive.

You’re welcome :)
As for the upgrade to Enfold Church, your sermon posts won’t be lost since it’s saved in the database however Enfold does not have a Sermon Post Type and does not have the built-in backend for the media in the Sermon. For the Sermon Post Type, you’ll just need to install a plugin called Custom Post Type (we can help set this up) however for media content will need to be re-added.
The best way I can see for the transition is to backup your site, setup a subdomain which will serve as a staging site (an exact duplicate of your live site) then switch staging site to Enfold then make changes.Best regards,
