HI,
I have 8 sites using 8 separate Enfold licenses. The latest one created a few months ago is having major issues with some pages. We are on Version 4.7.5 of Enfold and have not updated the theme to 4.7.6.4 nor updated to the WordPress version since we had issues recently trying to do so. Regardless, the following issues were there prior to the new updates:
For starters, the biggest issue is when updating a page. When I update anything on a page (example page url in private content area), the preview AND the saved page ends up deleting most of the sections of the page. Anything updated on any page seems to throw off the page.
Also, the oddest behavior is on ALL pages in edit mode- avia layout builder. I am unable to drag and drop any of the Layout, Content, nor Media Elements. I can drag them but the page does not scroll downwards which is a problem for long pages, for some reason I have to drag, drop, the drag again then drop, then drag again drop until I finally get to the area I need to drop the element in.
I haven’t experienced this issue on any other sites and this is the newest one which worries me in updating any of my other sites to the latest version of Enfold.Thank you!!

Thanks for the login details. The disappearing element are due to open html markup in your content, for example:
<strong>What does your participation entail?You need to close all tags properly, otherwise it will break the layout builder.
<strong>Bold text closed properly</strong>Dragging in scrolling; there were some problems with that in previous versions, due to changes in WordPress core. All of them are fixed in the current version though, so I would recommend that you update to that: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. If you don’t want to update WordPress then that’s fine, since there are some minor problems running WordPress 5.6.

RikardSo I updated the theme to the latest version and the drag/drop issue is fixed but there are still major issues updating the page I mentioned before. Unfortunately, when I try to fix the open html markup in the content by deleting or closing the tag and update the page, the same behavior happens where it deletes all the bottom sections. It looks fine in preview

if you open another browser or clear cache, you’ll notice the bottom sections are deleted.
Could you please try this to see what I mean? I’m not sure if this is happening to all pages or why this is happening but I am not experiencing this on any other sites where I am using Enfold.

Thanks for the update. You still have open markup on your content though, for example:
<strong>What does your participation entail?<strong>All You Need to Know About the Study Visits!<strong>Virtual Orientation VisitYou need to close all the markup you add properly, otherwise the layout builder might break, and content will be removed as a result.

RikardCorrect. I did this already, I tried removing the tags, saving the page, BUT the sections get deleted anyway when I try saving the page.
Please try this on the test page I provided in the private content. I included this test page so you can see the issue I am talking about for yourself:
I remove the tags and save the page but the problem is that even after correcting the tags (closing them or removing them altogether), and clicking update, the sections get removed even AFTER correcting the tags and trying to save the page.Please try this on the test page- correct the tags and try saving hte page, then view the page (NOT PREVIEW) and you will see that the sections are removed even after the tags are corrected.
Please advise why this is occurring even after the tags are corrected.

Hi,
It will do that yes, until you have fixed the markup. I closed the open markup on the test page, and adding new content and saving works as it should now. Please recreate the rest of the content of the page, and make sure that you close all markup properly.

RikardThank you Rikard, I have gone ahead and recreated the page without any broken tags. I still have issues with the preview function not matching what page actually should look like per the edit screen. I had this issue in the past on the other Enfold sites but curious if you know what caused the preview tab to not render EXACTLY like the page appears in the Avia Layout Builder editor.
