Hi,
I have recently been having problems with my server getting full up and I have noticed that since building my site with ENFOLD there is a folder on my server called ‘dynamic_avia’. Inside it has thousands of large files all titled something like ‘avia-merged-styles-46109712ea7223bb97b58d304b278310—5f412cf1518af.css’. It’s taking up about 6GB now and I was wondering if you could tell me are these essential files for the website? What will happen to the site if I was to delete them?
Thank you!

Thanks for your reply, I have ready this now and I have disabled the file merging, disabled adding unique time stamp and also selected to delete old CSS and JS files in the performance section. However I am confused about the part where it says ’empty cache, wait some time and reactivate settings’. What does this mean exactly? Which settings should I reactivate? Surely I need to keep them all disabled in order for it not to keep generating the new files?
Thanks,

It means you can re-activate Performance settings.
If you would like to keep merging enabled, please go to Enfold theme options > Performance > Show advanced options > Unique timestamp of merged files and WP object cache bug and choose “fix WP bug, disable unique timestamps” option. This would stop generating new files and overwrite them instead which is intended behaviour.
Best regards,

In the Performance>Show advanced options> Unique timestamp of merged files, I only see two options:
1. Disable adding unique timestamps
2. Add unique timestamps (=default)I don’t see any other option that says WP object cache bug, do you mean to just choose the option that says ‘disable unique timestamps’ in order to stop generating new files? (It doesn’t say ‘fix WP Bug’ before it in my Enfold settings anyway…).
Thanks!
JamieNovember 3, 2020 at 5:16 pm #1258063Hi Jamie,
Then I think you are using an older version of the theme. Please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/ and update Enfold to latest version 4.7.6.4. Option should be available after that :)
Best regards,
YigitNovember 3, 2020 at 5:44 pm #1258072That’s strange, I clicked update but it says my theme is up to date. I have version 4.7.4 installed. I see that you’ve said 4.7.6 is the latest though, how could I update then if WordPress is not allowing me to in the update section?

November 3, 2020 at 6:47 pm #1258093Actually I figure this out I had not generated an Envato private token yet. I’ve managed to update now and I have been able to select the fig bug option you recommended.
Thank you for your help!
