Hi there – I’m using v4.6.3.1 and yesterday noticed that one of my site pages is completely messed up….the header reads “Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘wpuxss_eml_shortcode_atts’ not found or invalid function name in /home3/erinewil/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 289.”

There are also problems with my portfolio items on the same page: of the 18 items, only 9 now appear, and each of these are missing excerpts, the images jumble together, and there are no links to the portfolio pages. This all happens on both desktop and mobile.

A friend made the site for me a couple years ago, and I have little to no knowledge of coding, etc. I don’t think I did anything that caused this. Just in case, I tried deleting the last portfolio item I created a week ago, and that didn’t fix the issue. Neither did deactivating and reactivating non-essential plugins.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

    Hey eewilliams1976,

Thanks for the login details. First off, could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.7.6.4) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi Rikard – thanks so much for the reply! OK, WordPress had indicated that my version was up to date….I guess I can’t trust that since I’d obviously missed several updates. Will try that now, fingers crossed. Thanks again!

Hi Rikard – I searched the other forum topics and saw that other folks have had trouble with auto updates as well. I installed the Envato Market plugin and added a new token to the backend. That enabled me to update to 4.7.6.4. The issue is still present – what’s next?

I appreciate your help, thank you!

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I don’t think that warning is caused by the theme, could you try to deactivate all plugins to see if that changes anything please? Also make sure that debugging is turned off on your WordPress installation: https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi Rikard – thanks so much. Yes, that did it! I so appreciate the help. I’ll need to figure out what the culprit is, but for now the site is running. Thank you again very much!!!!
