Hello,
We are unable to “customize” appearance or edit CSS. When we go to Appearance> Customize or Appearance> edit CSS we are getting a “critical error” message.
I have deactivated all plugins to see if that was causing the problem but the problem persists. I believe this is a problem with ENFOLD somehow but I dont know what is happening.
I have created a temporary account with the plugin ” Temporary Login Without Password “. please use this link to access my backend and help me out. Thank you.
Hey rolanddon,
Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.7.6.4) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. Also make sure that you are running PHP 7.2 or higher on the server.
Best regards,
Rikard
Hello,
I was able to update the PHP version to 7.3. My Enfold version shows that it is 4.7.4 and that there are no updates available (both shown in attachments). Do I need to go to envato to get the token to update my theme? Why is it so complicated to update the theme every time? When I switch themes the critical error when going to edit css goes away. I have been writing about this issue for many weeks and cannot get legitimate help. Did you use the temporary login to view my backend? Some answers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Hi,
I replied to your thread here – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/problem-about-editing-css/.
Temporary login link is not working, it still asks for credentials so we were unable to login. Please create temporary admin logins and post them here privately. If you do not mind, please post FTP logins as well.
Best regards,
Yigit
