This is the only way to to ask a question since our last website manager purchased the theme, hence I do not have a purchase code to log in to any of the forums to find out how to, or even to, get an update for our website which is not working with the outdated Enfold theme that says it IS updated but will not work with the updated php.
I am reaching out to our past software provider in hopes they will share this information with us, but if not, is there another way to get our purchase code? Our website is http://www.painesvillecountryclub.com and is using an outdated Enfold theme, version 4.5.Hey Susan,
Sorry for the problem. If you can’t get the information need from the person who bought the theme, then you will have to purchase a new license here: https://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990
Once you have access to the theme files then the update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
