Site is taking forever to load pages

I’m having trouble with one of my sites running Enfold loading. No changes have been made to the site in the last few days however when I try to work on the back end or check on the front end it’s taking 10 minutes or longer to load a new page (timesout at times). Checked with host and they said it’s not server side and that it must be the theme or a plugin. I’ve checked through plugins and still can’t find the issue. When I go into a page to make changes I get the connection lost. saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected.

I’m not sure what’s going on since nothing has been changed and I’m at a lost on this so any help you may offer would be greatly appreciated. I checked using gtmetrix and I get an analysis error if that helps.
