    Hi guys!

    I’m having a wee bit of a panic attack because all of a sudden my Advanced Editor Layout is not working.

    I’ve always built my sites this way and all of a sudden when I click on Edit Page it brings me to WordPress block editor.

    When I click on “Advanced Editor Layout” most of my content is missing in the Advanced Layout Editor (but the content is showing up live on the website).

    HELP!

    How can I get the Advanced Layout editor working again so I can work on my website?

    I’m so nervous to lose all of my work (years of work) because the Advanced Editor is not working.

    Hey Courtney,

    Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
      ( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

    When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
    If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Hi werner0347verizon,

    Can you create a separate thread? and give us temporary admin access in it.
    Just post the admin credentials in private content so it cannot be seen by the public however the thread creator can view it as well that’s why we advise creating a separate one.

    Can you please post what was the fix? A lot of us could benefit from knowing any possible solutions. I am in a similar position, don’t want to lose years of work, or mess up the design of my site.

    Honestly, it was a complete disaster to deal with.

    I spent hours on the phone with my hosting provider trying to restore everything. Written content was lost, the design changed, the editor wasn’t working…..The only solution was restoring a complete backup of my website then paying a WordPress developer to fix all the issues that occurred after the WordPress update. Hoping to never have to go through that again.

    #1 lesson= no matter what, make sure you ALWAYS have backups running of your website otherwise, you risk losing everything.

    Just a tip, create a staging site where you test the updates first and check before doing it on a live site.

    Hi there-
    I’m having the same issue:
    – Page created using the Avia Editor (many blocks/sections created)
    – When returning to the page (Edit mode), only a subset of content blocks are visible
    – Page “Preview” displays many other elements not visible in Edit view (so data appears to be there)
    – I reviewed threads about disabling WP5 Block editor; have switched back and forth, no change/fix

    Site is running:
    WP v5.5.1
    Enfold Child Theme based on Enfold Parent v4.7.6.4

    We are on a deadline for a release and any guidance/help would be much appreciated.
