    Hi,
    the website I manage doesn’t show my new updates for the enfold theme. Actually I am running enfold version: 4.1.2.

    In addition since i updated wordpress over version 5 the avia layout builder isn’t available. For already built pages on the website the editor is shown on the bottom. Nevertheless I can’t use the editor on those sites. Changes are not taken over.

    I am grateful for your help!

    Hey Max,

    Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

    Hi Rikard,

    thanks for your reply. I will try to update the theme by using the plugin.
    But what about the AviaLayout Editor. Why the builder doesn’t work since i updated my wordpress version???

    Hi Max,

    That’s because when WordPress releases major versions some functions are being deprecated, some js files that are being used before are being removed which causes issues on themes and plugins that uses those files, that’s why we also release updates to make sure our theme is compatible with the latest WordPress version. :)

    Hello,

    i tried the option to update the theme by using that plugin but i doesn’t work. An error arises.

    When i try the update theme via FTP by replacing the enfold folder the theme get installed but if i check the webseite many pictures are missing and i cant edit any pages.

    What happend here and how can i fix that problem???

    Hi Max,

    Can you try to rollback using your backup? or just revert to the previous version of Enfold.
    Once that is done, please create a staging site (basically a clone of your live site placed in your subdomain so it has the same environment for testing purposes) here’s a tutorial on how to do it: https://themeisle.com/blog/wordpress-staging-site/
