VictoriaAugust 14, 2020 at 2:53 pm #1237836Thanks, yes I’ve tried that as well as all the other suggestions in the link above.
August 16, 2020 at 7:13 am #1238099Hi,
Thanks for the update. First off, could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.7.6.3) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update.
Best regards,
RikardAugust 17, 2020 at 7:44 pm #1238605I am having exactly the same issue with my site. The theme options are not visible at all.
This is a totally new page. There are no plugins installed yet. I have the latest version of Enfold and WordPress.
I would be happy to hear from you.- This reply was modified 4 years, 3 months ago by banushka.

VictoriaAugust 19, 2020 at 8:09 pm #1239294Same issue with my website. Tried all recommendations, and still can’t access any additional “pages” other than initial page. The tabs simply aren’t there.
I even tried from black bar menu on top (in logged in mode) go into theme options, and select “footer”, but landed me on the main page of the options.August 19, 2020 at 10:09 pm #1239311All formatting options are now missing from the site…seems there is a major issue with the latest update!

Best regards,
NikkoSeptember 7, 2020 at 8:23 pm #1244097I’m Having the same issue on one Enfold site, but not all.
Clearing cache didn’t work.
Disabling plugins didn’t work.
Switching from child theme to parent Enfold theme didn’t work. It’s possible there was a theme update that didn’t complete successfully. What’s the best process to manually update/reinstall the parent theme? Should I just download the latest and upload ontop of it it or delete the existing first? Or is there another method? I thought I recall using a separate update plugin recently to patch a bad update, but that could have been a different theme.
Thanks/

September 8, 2020 at 3:24 am #1244126Hi WalnutHillDesign,
Can you try to install and activate this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/
Wordpress 5.5 has made a major change which includes the removal of jQuery migrate plugin which is used by many plugins and themes, including the Enfold theme, with this plugin jQuery migrate is plugged in back to the site and most likely would fix that issue. This incompatibility issue was fixed beginning with Enfold 4.7.6.2 so we suggest to update to the latest version of Enfold so you can deactivate and remove this plugin unless some plugins haven’t updated yet for WP 5.5.
If installing the plugin didn’t help, you can use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/ and do the following steps (it also works for plugins):- Make sure this plugin is installed and activated.
- Download zip file of your theme’s most recent version.
- Log in to WordPress as and Admin and go to Appearance > Themes.
- Click on the ADD NEW button.
- Click on the UPLOAD THEME button.
- Click BROWSE and choose your zip file you downloaded.
- Click the INSTALL NOW button.
If it fails for some reason, you can do manual updating via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/#update-via-ftp (I would suggest via cPanel since FTP is slow)
Let us know if it helps.Best regards,
NikkoSeptember 8, 2020 at 3:32 pm #1244317Thank you! Yes, both of those resolved the issue and the theme option submenu tabs are showing again. I tried the jquery plugin first, which worked and then updated the theme via zip file and deleted the jquery plugin. All good!
I thought the theme was up to date, but discovered the Envato Marketplace is having an issue connecting after upgrading to TLS 1.3 on the server, so it wasn’t the latest version. That update from zip file is what I was looking for. Thanks.

September 24, 2020 at 10:45 am #1248107Hi Mejba Uddin Biplob,
Thanks for giving us admin and FTP access.
Where do we see the issue? can you try to clear the cache from the caching plugin as well as on your browser and check again?
You’re also using PHP version 7.0.33 which is already obsolete according to https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php please update it to 7.3Best regards,
NikkoSeptember 24, 2020 at 11:59 am #1248122Okey i will update php soon.
Deprecated: contextual_help is deprecated since version 3.3.0! Use get_current_screen()->add_help_tab(), get_current_screen()->remove_help_tab() instead.
if you debug mode true from wp-config.php
you will get above errors.
thank you
September 24, 2020 at 1:30 pm #1248134Hi Mejba Uddin Biplob,
The contextual_help was used before by the bundled layerslider but with the version bundled in the recent versions of Enfold, this code is removed.
You can do a thorough check with the theme and you won’t find it, the only 2 possibilities I can think of is there’s a plugin using it or there’s none but just cached.Best regards,
NikkoSeptember 24, 2020 at 5:42 pm #1248240Hallo, I have the same problem with one of my sites. I cannot make any changes in the theme options and I see only the first page of the theme options.
I deactived all plugins en checked the PHP memory (256M).
Please help!September 24, 2020 at 5:58 pm #1248244Make sure you are running the latest version of the theme. If you’re using Envato market plugin make sure it is still communicating with the server. Ours had stopped updating.
See Nikko’s post on sept 8.
If installing the plugin didn’t help, you can use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/ and do the following steps (it also works for plugins):
Make sure this plugin is installed and activated.
Download zip file of your theme’s most recent version.
Log in to WordPress as and Admin and go to Appearance > Themes.

Click on the UPLOAD THEME button.
Click BROWSE and choose your zip file you downloaded.
Click the INSTALL NOW button.September 24, 2020 at 9:00 pm #1248259Hi – same problem here! PHP Version update from 7.0 to 7.3 done…is this now a general bug for enfold?
September 25, 2020 at 5:44 am #1248313Hi bodesign2,
Thanks for giving us admin access, your Enfold version is still: 3.0.4.1486049952
Please follow the instructions in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-options-not-showing-2/#post-1244126
And don’t forget to have a backup.
@WalnutHillDesign thanks for helping out :)
@Eisi101 the issue is caused by the major upgrade of WordPress to 5.5 specifically removing the jQuery migrate file which really caused a lot of issues on most themes and many plugins but it’s a step forward in the direction WordPress would like to take.Best regards,
