    I ran into a series of problems when trying to recheck my assets and clear browser cache using the Hummingbird plugin by WPMU. Minutes later I received this email from WorPress indicating that there is a site error with the Enfold theme.

    Hey kurson,

    Sorry for the problem. Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.7.5) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update

    Hey

    I am getting this error too, and I don’t know how to fix.

    Most recently I tried to duplicate a product and I am redirected to error page –
    “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.
    Learn more about debugging in WordPress.”

    If I navigate “Back” in the browser the product and been duplicated and is there waiting to be editted.
    I get an email saying that the error is with Enfold Child, and further down specifies “shortcodes”

    Any assistance appreciated.

    I have installed the latest version. Hopefully that resolves this.

    Suggestion to Enfold: Please post WHY that message appeared for us so theme users have an idea of what occurred.

    I think most people do not understand what an error of type E_ERROR that was caused in line 563 is. We just know it sounds bad.

    Hi kurson,

    Knowing exactly why an error message like that appears could take several hours to investigate, it wouldn’t be time well spent in terms of actually supporting our users.
