    Hello,
    I had an old version of the enfold theme 3.4.7 in my WP
    I dont know why I could not access since yesterday to the backend, and when I could, then I couldn’t edit (it appears hanging) so the hosting provider told me it is was due to the old version of the theme:

    So I uploaded a new one following your instructions with the plugin update themes & plugin with zip, but now there is a
    HTTP ERROR 500 and the hosting provider has given me this:

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. I’m getting a 403 error on the login page though:

    Forbidden
    You don’t have permission to access this resource.

    Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    If you are trying to update from 3.4.7 then the update to 4.7.x has to be done manually, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
