    Hi guys,
    I have made my header a custom pixel height (160px) however it seems to be overlapping the image I have placed in the following section. Even if I make it back to standard height it still does the same. I am also having issues getting the image below to fill the full space, even if I set it to full or large etc. I hope you can give me some insight into what I am doing wrong!

    Hi,

    Thanks for the login details. I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (4.7.5) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

    Thanks Rikard,

    I have updated the theme and it didn’t make any difference. I am going to delete the theme folder, however am not sure how to do that successfully. The site is backed up via auto on GoDaddy. I have read that I can change the theme to the default one (Twenty Fourteen) and then delete the theme and import it again, would this be correct?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update. You have this in your Quick CSS box:

    div#header_main {
background-color: #cedfdf;
}

    That will override the header setting you set in the Layout menu of the page itself. The option for the header on your start page was set to transparent menu, and when that is selected the header should overlap the content. I changed that option to no transparency and your header is displaying as it should now, please review your site.

    Thanks Rikard,

    That has changed how the header functions which is ok, however it still doesn’t mean that the image fills the space properly. I have tried lots of sizes of images, but it is still leaving a border around. Before you changed the above, the image was sitting under the header (presumably because I made the header deeper) and not fitting the space, so it is an improvement, but not sure what is happening…

    Am I doing something wrong with the image box/options or is this how it was created to look, with the border in this section?

    Would love your insight.

    Hi Kristin,

    Thanks for the update. Do you mean that you want the first image on the page to be full width? If so then please try setting it as a background in a Color Section element. If you use the Image element as you are currently doing, then it will always stay within the container bounds.
