Hi
I was told that there is an error on my website, but I have no idea what error it is.
I wanted to update wordpress and did so, that ruined my ‘backoffice, dashboard’ or whatever it is called where I can edit my website. (It looks like it is called avia layout builder) Then I downloaded a version of my website that was from before I updated the website, and now it is not possible to edit anything at all, I only see a wheel of downloading, that never ends?
Can anybody help with this problem?
Thank you

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
Best regards,
VictoriaMay 28, 2020 at 1:04 pm #1217334Hi Victoria
I had someone that was trying to help with the problem, but he was not able to help, he tried to update wordpress, and again it was a complete mess, so once again I went back to the backup that I have of the website, but it still does not work, I have the same problem.
If you try to do something to fix, it and i all goes bad again, then I still have an update available , but again it is a version where I can’t edit anything, so it is not good!
I apparently also have a problem with wordpress because they write to me that I don’t have a website. I have several!
I’m not sure why that is. I use the same email, username and password for them all. (not sure if that is ok!?
Right now I have changed the password for fastereft.dk so that you can see the wp-admin for yourself.I really hope you can help, because nobody else is capable of helping me!

Thanks for that. I see that you are running very old versions of both WordPress and the theme. Maybe you could try copying your site to a staging site, then perform the update there first?
The update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
Also don’t forget to update WordPress itself.
Best regards,
Rikard -
