    I cannot see my sliders in layerslider on onfold 2017 site. As if I don’t have any created yet I have had one installed since I installed the theme a few weeks ago. I have multiple enfold themes and I have not encountered this situation before. I did not see anyone else in the forum with the same issue.

    Thank you.

    Hey divesheik,

    Could you please attach some screenshots of the issue?

    Best regards,

    Hi Victoria. I’ve placed a link in the private content. This is what I see on the sliders page for all my enfold/layer slider installs. I have a few installs and all of them are running sliders but no sliders show on the sliders page in wp admin of any of the sites. I checked the mysql db and I can see sliders in the layoutslider table. Now, if I create a new slider, it will show up on the wp admin slider page. But the sliders that I had already created after the install of the site, which used to show up a week or so ago, no longer show up on the wp admin sliders page.

    Hi,

    It’s probably the same as the issue reported in the following threads.

    // https://kriesi.at/support/topic/layer-slider-fails-on-enfold-update-4-6/#post-1159740
    // https://kriesi.at/support/topic/empty-list-slider-in-layer-slider/#post-1186261

    You have to manually create the “group_id” column in the “_layerslider” table in the database to fix the slider query.

    Thank you Ismael for your reply. I went to both links and then went into mysql to review the wp_layerslider table. The group_id column was already there. The only thing I changed was the type to tinyint; the length/value was already set to 10 characters. Still, the sliders do not show up on the wp admin sliders page. Although the slider is working as an element of the page I tabled it into. Any thoughts? The sliders are in the database but just not answering the calls to the slider wp-admin page. If I create a new slider, it will show on the slider wp-admin page but the other existing sliders still do not show. Please advise. Thank you again.

    Hi there,

    My LayerSlider won’t show. I tried two different ways; via shortcode in a text block or with the Enfold LayerSlider element, and the LayerSlider element shows a white screen where there should be a slider and the shortocode in the text block, actually shows the shortcode letters/numbers, not the slider. Please help with this. Would it be better to use a different layer slider like Revolution Slider?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

    @divesheik
    : What is the version of the theme prior to the update? It’s possible that the current version of the plugin doesn’t recognize the sliders because they were created from an outdated version of the theme containing a very old version of the plugin — i.e the existing sliders might now be corrupted or unusable.

    Hello Ismael. I just installed this enfold theme 6 weeks ago and have kept it updated. I am surprised I am the only one having issues. What’s crazy is the data for the slider is in the layerslider table of the db and it should only be a matter of data connecting but I have tried everything. It was all working fine and I was able to edit my sliders up to about a week before I initiated this thread. I double checked to make sure my tokens are installed in the themes for my licensing and everything checks out. Is there anything that I can get to for access that will allow you to take a look? I thought I had sent credentials in a private message to Victoria at the beginning of this thread but I am happy to resend if that will help. There is only the one slider that I want to salvage so I don’t have to rebuild and it’s the one that displays on the home page.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the info.

    @divesheik: We have to access the database and the file server in order to debug the issue further. Please post the login accounts in the private field. Did you happen to toggle any options in the Enfold > Layout Builder panel (e.g Integrated (Bundled LayerSlider Plugin)?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael. Thanks for the reply. I don’t know how to grant access to the mysql database on this shared server. I can get you ftp credentials for the files but I’ve never created remote access to a db on one of these shared servers. This cpanel has a remote mysql option but it’s looking for a specific ip address for the inquiry origination.

    I checked the enfold settings and the integrated layerslider plugin was already set to Activate bundled plugin.

    Hi,

    Can we access the cPanel instead? For now, you may want to consider re-creating the sliders from scratch because it might not be possible to locate or fix the issue immediately.

    Please ask your hosting provider if it’s possible to remotely access the database. We have MySQL Workbench in our machine if necessary.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael. If I have your static ip, I believe I can allow external access to mysql with that just as we would do if we need to have an api external to the server access the database. And yes, your suggestion to recreate the sliders from scratch is the best and the least time consuming for all of us. I became focused on this issue solely because I wanted to understand how it could happen in case it happened again. I think it was caused by an update which we have so many of between WP, Enfold and the layerslider plugin itself. It seemed like such a simple fix since I can see the data in the DB. If you have an ip, you can send to my email on account and I’ll see if I can get you access. Otherwise, I will just recreate the sliders from scratch as you suggested. I just have to do that in each of my Enfold installs so it will take a bit of time. Thanks again for your continued attention to this challenge Ismael.

    Hi,

    Yes, recreating the sliders from scratch seems to be the better option this time since we don’t really know what have gone wrong with the old sliders. Please feel free to open a new thread if you need anything else.

    Have a nice day.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
