Hello,
I was trying to embed Pinterest pin in my posts, and followed the instruction in this thread.
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/cant-embed-pinterest/
I couldn’t make it work, but instead some weird bullets started to appear on my website. They are on the menu bar, including pull down, and sidebar widget (popular posts). Like this:
If you can’t figure out where the bullets I am talking are, I can send the screenshot if you tell me how I can send an attachment. Please let me know.
I’ve already deleted the tracking code I added to the Google search section, as I saw those bullets.
Please help!
February 19, 2020 at 7:28 am #1185920Hey mfuji,
You have to find and remove or comment out the following from your css file:
ul { list-style: disc inside !important; }

February 20, 2020 at 6:40 pm #1186460Hi,
No it did not.

Jordan ShannonFebruary 20, 2020 at 6:46 pm #1186465Eerrrr how do I send a private message???
So I went to my web host’s file manager, public_html folder, theme>enfold>ccs
and looked in shortcords.ccs, layour.ccs, and custom.ccs.I couldn’t find the strings you showed me…where could i find it? Am I looking at the wrong places???
I am not very familiar with CCS, so beginner-level explanation appreciated!
February 20, 2020 at 8:00 pm #1186516Hi mfuji,
You need to have some text in the box for the regular message, then the private message will go through.
Best regards,
VictoriaFebruary 20, 2020 at 8:56 pm #1186534Oh no I already gave up private message. My question was already there!
PLEASE READ THIS ↓↓↓

February 22, 2020 at 12:39 pm #1186945Hi,
Thanks for the update. The code looks to be coming from Quick CSS under Enfold->General Styling. If you can’t find it then please post admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 22, 2020 at 8:16 pm #1187010OK thank you, I was able to delete it!
Now going back to my original question…is the workaround in this thread still good in order to embed Pinterest Pin in my post?
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/cant-embed-pinterest/I added the code mentioned in the thread to Enfold>Google services>Google analytics tracking code (there is a box).
Then I went to Pinterest widget buidler page
https://developers.pinterest.com/tools/widget-builder/
Followed the instruction and generated a code like this.
I embed it in my post using a text box (just like a regular text)
But then, I couldn’t figure this out…it’s at the bottom of the Pinterest widget builder page.
>Don’t forget to include pinit.js once per page, right before the closing </BODY> tag.
<script async defer src=”//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js”></script>Where can I find this </BODY>tag?
Thanks!
February 25, 2020 at 12:27 am #1187511Could I still get an answer to my question?
February 25, 2020 at 4:40 pm #1187760Hi mfuji,
Please refrain from replying to your own thread because it gets pushed back to the end of the queue and moderators won’t be able to provide a response immediately. Please be patient while we go through the rest of the queue. Thank you for your understanding.
Where can I find this tag?
This means that the script should render in the footer.
Here is how to add it there:

VictoriaFebruary 27, 2020 at 3:36 am #1188319Sorry for that! I tried to do it and created another problem. I was just trying to look through appearance> custom ccs to find where to add the code. I think I haven’t changed anything yet, unless I accidentally did so, but this error message is now appearing, and I cannot modify my page.
How do I fix this? Again, I am not savvy so beginner-level explanation will be appreciated.Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/intera65/public_html/wp-content/plugins/search-filter-pro/includes/class-search-filter-post-cache.php:1513) in /home/intera65/public_html/wp-admin/post.php on line 223
February 27, 2020 at 8:50 pm #1188620Hi mfuji,
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
Best regards,
VictoriaFebruary 27, 2020 at 9:38 pm #1188660Sure! see below. Thank you.
Basically all I want is to be able to embed Pinterest pin or board.
Although it doesn’t sound complicated, it seems to keep creating new problems….February 28, 2020 at 11:00 pm #1188946Hi mfuji,
It is not the css and so it cannot be added in the Custom css. You need to update the theme, add the child theme and then add the code in the child theme.
Here are the docs for you:

VictoriaFebruary 28, 2020 at 11:53 pm #1188964Thanks are you talking about Pinterest or the problem I am having now?

February 28, 2020 at 11:55 pm #1188965How can I organize my messages so that your answer won’t be piecemealed? The reason why I gave you private info was to address this ↓↓↓

March 1, 2020 at 2:51 pm #1189214Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for the login, I took a look at your site and see that you are using Enfold v4.2 with WordPress v5.3.2, so you will need to manually update via FTP because of the API/Token changes with Envato.
The easiest and safest way to update is to download the newest version from Theme Forest and rename your current theme folder to “enfold-old” via ftp then upload the new “enfold” folder and check that your site is working correctly.
Should for some reason you wish to roll-back to the old version, it’s easy to do, simply rename the new “enfold” folder to “enfold-new” via ftp and then rename “enfold-old” to “enfold” then refresh your page.
Once you are happy you can delete the “enfold-old” folder via ftp, (not the WP theme page)
Please don’t try to overwrite the theme folder, as this will leave old files behind and cause errors.I didn’t find your error:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/intera65/public_html/wp-content/plugins/search-filter-pro/includes/class-search-filter-post-cache.php:1513) in /home/intera65/public_html/wp-admin/post.php on line 223
but this is caused by the plugin
search-filter-pro
so I recommend disabling until after you update your theme and all plugins, perhaps then the conflict will be resolved.I also recommend checking with your webhost to see if you have the one click staging site option, this is a option in most cPanels to create a staging clone of your site so you can test updates on it and your live site will stay up and running untouched. This is a good practice should updating cause any issues that take time to resolve. You can always ask your webhost to help you with setting this up if you want.
Here are some screenshots of what it would look like:

MikeMarch 2, 2020 at 7:33 pm #1189507OK, I desactivated the plug in for now. In terms of updating the software, is this how I do?
Go to Envato market and download Enfold – Responsive Multi-Purpose Theme, “all files and documentation”? which is this:
themeforest-0PyckEOa-enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme.zip
There’s no way I can confirm that it’s V4.2, but it should be okay right? (Date modified is showing 2/10/2020)Upload the zip file to public_html > wp-content>themes>enfold
Then I re-name the old file. Or, do I re-name my current enfold folder first, before I upload the new one? I am not savvy so I want to make sure my website won’t be down for too long.Thank you!
March 5, 2020 at 12:35 pm #1190405Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, on Envato the zip file “all files and documentation” also includes files you don’t need, so please extract it on your desktop and look for the folder “enfold” this is the theme files.
You can verify the theme version by opening the “style.css” file inside “enfold” and line 4 will tell you the version number.
Then you can rename your current “enfold” folder to “enfold-old” via ftp and them upload the new “enfold” from your desktop to your site.
If you would like a hand with this then please link to your Envato file via DropBox and include admin login and ftp access in the Private Content area.Best regards,
MikeMay 14, 2020 at 9:10 am #1212872It’s been for a while, but is it okay to ask for help to upgrade the theme? If it’s okay, I will send log in info. Thank you!
May 14, 2020 at 12:28 pm #1212928Hi,
Sure we can help, we will need an admin login, FTP access, and a link to your Enfold theme download, perhaps in DropBox or Google Drive.Best regards,
MikeMay 15, 2020 at 8:05 am #1213160Did you receive my previous message?? Please see private content for details….Thanks
May 15, 2020 at 11:23 am #1213228Hi,
Sorry I didn’t receive any other messages, thanks for the link I got the file, but the ftp details lead to an empty directory, please check the ftp user account and replace the directory/kriesi
with/
so we have access to the WordPress directory.
Please also include an admin login so we can check that the update is successful.Best regards,
MikeMay 15, 2020 at 5:22 pm #1213339OK this is what I got. Please see below.
Let me know how it went!!! ThanksMay 16, 2020 at 11:54 am #1213544Hi,
Thank you, I was able to update your site by renaming your current theme directory to “enfold-old” and upload the new version to “enfold” Please clear your browser cache and check. If you are satisfied with how the new version works you can delete “enfold-old” via ftp, if you wish to roll back to your old version, simply delete “enfold” via ftp and rename “enfold-old” to “enfold”.Best regards,
MikeMay 16, 2020 at 9:33 pm #1213663Thanks so much! I checked my site, it’s faster and many error messages are gone. Many pages are indexable again by Google bots.
I deleted the file in enfold-old (couldn’t figure out how to delete the folder itself…any idea?)Then I realized one thing. Google Analytics stopped tracking my site. I went to Theme Options, under which I used to be able to find “Google Services”…but it’s gone. Do you have any idea why? Can I still add Analytics tracking ID to my site? Thanks!
May 16, 2020 at 9:37 pm #1213664Never mind, sorry, it was there. I think I am all set! Thank you!
May 16, 2020 at 10:38 pm #1213670Hi,
