I purchased Enfold – Responsive Multi-Purpose Theme
My site has version 4.2 already running but I can not update to the new version
If I want to add a theme the file is uploading 100% but after this I get the message “the link you followed has expired”
I also tried to update the theme and I created an API key but I read this does not work anymore (tried it but did not work indeed) so I created a Token.
Unfortunately the Token does not work either because I am running an old version?
Please adviseFebruary 17, 2020 at 8:48 pm #1185411Hey pruvision,
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
Best regards,

Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
If you still can’t update your site after trying this then please include FTP login details in private as well, along with a verification that you have backups of the site, and we’ll update the site for you.
After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
Best regards,
Rikard -
