Hallo,
ich habe leider als WordPress Anfänger den “Fehler” gemacht, das Parent Theme ohne Child Theme zu installieren und zu konfigurieren.
Ich würde seit einiger Zeit gerne das Child Theme nachträglich installieren, habe aber Angst hier dei Einstellungen zu zerstören. Da nun ein Them Update ansteht, würde ich das gerne nachholen. Ich würde mich jedoch deutlich sicherer fühlen wenn ein Profi hier etwas unterstützen kann.
Aus den Beiträgen wurde ich leider nicht wirklich schlau, da diese wohl teils mehrfach editiert sind und – zumindest für mich – nicht wirklich nachvollziehbar sind.

there is a theme option for importing the parent theme settings when you have a child theme active, please have a look under Enfold->Import/Export. If the settings should not apply straight away then please try to change a setting in the theme then save again, your settings should apply after that.

thanks for your fast reply.
actually i dont have a child theme active.
I just installed the parent theme and made all settings and filled it with content. So now i am a little afraid to make any mistakes in setting up the child theme and iporting all Data afterwards.
May i possible ask for some more detailed support for the single steps i have to make?Hi,
Please download a clean child theme here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/, then install and activate it. Then go to Enfold->Import/Export and select to import settings from your parent theme. If the settings should not apply straight away then please try to toggle a setting or two and then save. If you are worried about losing something then please make sure that you have backups of the site before installing the child theme.
