Where do i find the place to translate “To reflect your cookie settings we need to reload your website” into german???
December 15, 2019 at 3:30 am #1165977Hey MarcusJeroch,
Sorry for the late reply, the German translation files have been updated in this thread thanks to generous users and will be included in the next version.
If you wish you can download and add to your site via FTP, please save your current version as a backup, and add the new files at:
\wp-content\themes\enfold\lang\
Best regards,
MikeDecember 16, 2019 at 12:36 pm #1166331Hi,

“We may request cookies to be set on your device. We…… ”
Its horrible with your theme…there seem to be dozens or even hundreds of different versions flying aroundDecember 16, 2019 at 1:48 pm #1166372Hi,
Do you mean that you are using the DE “formal”?
I looked in the file I linked for you and the translation is this:We may request cookies to be set on your device. We use cookies to let us know when you visit our websites, how you interact with us, to enrich your user experience, and to customize your relationship with our website. Click on the different category headings to find out more. You can also change some of your preferences. Note that blocking some types of cookies may impact your experience on our websites and the services we are able to offer.
DE:
I see this is not translated in the DE “formal”, if you post the translation I will make the change for you.
Best regards,
MikeDecember 17, 2019 at 3:04 pm #1166851Strange.
Why is the text on my second website/second licence different than the translation you mentioned (although same version)??
“Unsere Website verwendet Cookies um Ihnen eine reibungslose Verwendung sicherstellen zu können.

Klicken Sie auf die Überschriften um mehr darüber zu erfahren. Sie können auch Ihre Browsereinstellungen anpassen und somit Cookies in Gänze oder einzeln zuzulassen oder blockieren. December 17, 2019 at 4:12 pm #1166877Hi,
Perhaps I made a mistake there, I have helped a few German speaking customers with their language files from that thread I linked to earlier, so perhaps this was one of those. Anyway I have not seen anyone submit or ask for the DE “formal” language file yet and it looks behind in the translations. Is that the one you are using? You can edit it with the program Poedit and if you would like to share it with the community you can upload it to that thread, it is where we get our translations from.Best regards,
MikeDecember 20, 2019 at 1:18 pm #1168111Really??
I pay for a theme, found issues, asking for support and finally you suggest that i work for you unpaid?Community?
As far as i know Enfold is not OpenSource and by the way – the support very often (specially from 2 certain mods i wont name here) is so bad that i dont see why i should be engaged in helping to improve your theme as long as this does not change.
Solidarity/helping is not a oneway-street.M.
December 22, 2019 at 8:43 pm #1168619Hi,
Ok, if you don’t want to submit any translations that is fine. I only suggest it because that is how translations are added, and as I pointed out the DE “formal” doesn’t seem to be updated often.
Anyways, now you know how to change the translations for your site, you can then add your custom language files to your child theme so they will not be lost with each update, please see our documentation here.Best regards,
MikeDecember 23, 2019 at 12:36 pm #1168716This is not the point, Mike.
I know how to use Poedit and also how to use a customized language file in a child theme. The point is that you sell a theme whichs translation is based on community work.
Ok, not the best solution for a “Pro-Theme” – but as you like. But what i critizise is that there even is no department which at least controls if the translation is correct.
This at least can be expected from a “Bestseller” themeM.
