I went to edit some blog posts today using the default editor (not ALB) and was unable to select the “text” tab to make changes. The “visual” tab is the only option to make changes. My Yoast stoplight is also blank and I am unable to input any data into it.
I am on WordPress 5.3 and Enfold 4.5.1, and have the classic editor plugin installed, although I do not see the toggle switch in the theme options anymore.

November 14, 2019 at 3:27 pm #1156822I just turned off my Classic Editor Plugin (version 1.5) and the Yoast traffic light is back and I can edit posts in html mode.
However, I prefer to edit my page/posts in classic mode. It seems there may be a bug with the latest WP update.
November 15, 2019 at 4:02 am #1157045Hi,
Sorry for the problem. Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.6.3.1) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. After that then you can select to use the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.
Best regards,
RikardNovember 16, 2019 at 11:28 pm #1157558Thank you for the reply. I have updated to the latest Enfold version and turned on the classic editor (and turned off the classic editor plugin) and the problem is still there. If I turn off classic editor, I can see the Yoast stoplight and am able to edit posts via html.

November 19, 2019 at 9:07 am #1158056Hi,
Thanks for the update, like in the post in private? I see an error message coming from the file in private, could you try deactivating that plugin to see if it makes any difference please?
Best regards,
RikardNovember 19, 2019 at 11:06 pm #1158307Thanks Rikard. Yes, like in that post. Although I’m not exactly sure which plugin you’re referring to…is it the Yoast SEO Premium?
If I deactivate that will I lose any information (meta descriptions, etc.) that I’ve input into it on my pages and posts?
November 20, 2019 at 9:51 am #1158408Hi,
Thanks for the update. No, you shouldn’t lose anything if you deactivate the plugin, just don’t delete it. You could also try to disable all other plugins to see if there is a conflict between Yoast and another plugin. Please make sure that you have backups of the site before you start experimenting, in case something should go wrong.
Best regards,
RikardNovember 21, 2019 at 12:39 am #1158646I updated to the latest Yoast version and everything seems to be working again. Consider this resolved. Thank you for your help!
