Dear Kriesi-Enfold team,
I’m working on my website. When I started with that in 2016 there was an easy way to include sliders and columns etc. it was called AVIA and it seems that it’s now the advanced layout builder. NOW when I try to build a new page that very usefull tool is not availble? Can you please help me out here?
Best regards,

Please update the theme to the latest version. That should fix any issues you are currently experiencing :)
To update to the latest version follow the simple instructions here. (Or if you want the super detailed explanation you can read this blog post)

VictoriaNovember 13, 2019 at 11:04 am #1156339Dear Victoria,
I already updated the Enfold theme (and installed a higher PHP version on the server) and this does not work.
Since I enclosed my site and credentials (in private) I hoped you could also see that I run the latest version of the Enfold theme?
Please help me out here.

SanderNovember 13, 2019 at 4:23 pm #1156434Hello,
I have the same problem.
On new posts or pages, I cannot activate the advanced layout.
I have updated worpress to the latest version and also the Enfold theme.
Old posts or pages display the advanced layout, but if I switch to regular wordpress I cannot go back to the advanced layout.November 13, 2019 at 10:56 pm #1156562update: I have exactly the same situation xdiverres describes, older pages show the advanced lay out builder, newer pages show this not.
I just read in another support-link that if you check for updates manually in the wp-admin environment that it says that there are no updates but that you should update manually through FTP and this should work fine, is it possible that this is also the case here? That maybe I should check for updates and install them through FTP?
I’m not very good at this tech-stuff so please send a link to detailed instructions for this ftp installing if you think that might be succesful.
Thanks!
November 14, 2019 at 4:16 am #1156618Hi Sander,
You are still running a very old version of the theme (3.5.4). The update to 4.6.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

RikardNovember 14, 2019 at 4:18 am #1156619Hi xdiverres,
Please check the URL of your site, the link you posted is not loading since you didn’t include a top domain.

RikardNovember 14, 2019 at 12:53 pm #1156756Dear Rikard and Victoria,
You were both very helpfull, I just succeeded in updating my Enfold theme through FTP and finished all the steps suggested by entering the Envato token etc. It all looks great now and I am very happy to be able to continue working on my website now.
Thank you both very much!
