    Hi,

    I have a very old version of Enfold 3.4.2. on my website. I have now bought the newest version of Enfold since I do not have access to my old purchase key.

    How do I install the new Enfold version on my website and would it be possible without conflicting with the old version?

    Is there a plugin that I can use for updating Enfold to the new version?

    Hey Nicolai,

    The update to 4.6.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

    After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.

    Thank you Rikard!

    The theme was updated to the newest version without problems using the plugin recommended by you.

    However, the personal token does not work. I have followed your instructions for generating the Envato personal token, checked the right permissions, generated the token and entered the token in the update section in Enfold. An error message is received, telling that the token is not valid.

    My old version 3.4.2. previously requested a username and API and the system now asked for the personal token instead. I wonder if there could be a problem with overwriting the old API. The old version 3.4.2. was bought by a service provider. The updated Enfold version 4.6 was bought in a new name with a different purchase code.

    Please help me!
