    Hi,

I have Enfold in a 3.4.2 version running my website. Currently running the newest version of WordPress 5.2.2 and PHP 5.6 at my host. Upgrading to PHP 7.3 at my host did cause issues. My questions:

    1) Is Enfold 3.4.2 compatible with PHP 7.3?

    2) If not, how can I upgrade Enfold 3.4.2 to Enfold 4.6 (newest version?)?

    Best regards

    Hi Nicolai,

    Thanks for contacting us!

You are using a very old version of Enfold which is not compatible with PHP 7.x.

You can login on ThemeForest with the account you have purchased Enfold and go to Downloads page to download the latest version of the theme. If someone else purchased the theme for you and you do not have any contact or information, you might need to purchase new license on ThemeForest – https://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990. If you are going to need to purchase a license, please hurry as theme is currently on sale :)

    Hi,

    Thanks!
I have a Themeforest User Name and API key –
    would that be enough?
Perhaps a silly question, but can I just use the latest version of Enfold without damaging the website?

    Best regards

    Hi Nicolai,

Do you have access to your Themeforest account? If not then please try requesting a new password at Envato/Themeforest first.

The update to 4.6 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.

Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

I have the username and API code for Enfold 3.4.2, but it was bought through a service provider, so I do not have the password. However, I can see that the username and API code appears from the update section in Enfold where it says that I am to manually update Enfold. This is here my problems are since when I press the bottom, I cannot see where I can update. I have no plugin installed for this purpose.

Unfortunately, I was not able to open the post links in your previous comments! I would prefer to update via a plugin if this would be an option. Could you recommend a plugin for that use, then I would be happy! Would I then be able to update to version 4.6 via the plugin?

Or would I need the password from my service provider to do that?

    best regards

    Hi,

Please contact your service provider who bought the theme for you and ask for the latest version of the theme, “purchase code” and “personal token”.

Using your purchase code you can register to our support forum – https://kriesi.at/support/register/ and start new threads whenever you have a question or an issue.

Since you are using a very old version of the theme, you would need to update to the latest version via FTP. Then you can insert Personal Token into Enfold theme options to receive auto updates.

    Best regards,
    Yigit
