    We’ve inherited a client, who’s previous designer had setup an Enfold Version: 3.5.3 website.
    I’m getting errors during wp-cli updates (below) AND we plan on moving to PHP 7.0.
    How can get an upgrade to this theme, since the previous designer is no longer reachable?
    And, if we are not entitled to the latest 4.x version, is there a way to get the latest 3.x version that might work OK (fewer errors and PHP7 compat).

    Thanks for any help. Happy to provide any add’l details if needed.

    Hey Darren,

    Sorry for your problem. If you don’t have access to a Themeforest account which has purchases a license then I think it would be best if you purchased your own licence. Otherwise you will have this problem each time you want to update.

    The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

    If you need earlier versions then let us know which one and we can send it to you in private.
