Have you tried disabling all active plugins to see if the issue resolves?

I get that.Does Enfold have memory limits that would cause not all the images to be shown?
Reason: Easy Slider does not allow me to select images (the window that allows image selection does not appear at all).
It could be on this end (shared server)?

Thanks for the info.
We can’t reproduce the issue on a test page. Where can we see the problem? Please provide the link to the actual page.
This is where we added the Easy Slider. (see private field)

Thoughts?July 2, 2019 at 9:19 am #1115096Hi There
I’m having a similar problem with my Avia Layout Builder not loading in any of my pages. I tried deactivating all my plugins but this made no difference. I’m using Enfold 3.7.1 which I’m aware isnt the most up to date, but the theme doesnt give me the option to automatically update the theme to the newer version. Do I need to buy a new theme and update this way? Or is there likely to be another solution? A couple of years ago I had a similar problem and used a snippet of code added to the function.php which modified the jquery function. Is this likely to have a bearing? Thanks in anticipation of your help
Kind regards
Mark PaytonJuly 2, 2019 at 10:05 am #1115114Hi Mark,
Sorry for the problem. The update to the latest version (4.5.7) has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
Best regards,
RikardJuly 2, 2019 at 2:05 pm #1115174Thanks for the quick response Rikard. If I update Enfold theme to 4.4 does the update also affect the Child Theme I created when I first built the website? Do I have to worry that all the settings in the Child Theme will be overwritten?
Thanks again for your response.
MarkJuly 3, 2019 at 8:15 am #1115367Hi Mark,
It shouldn’t affect your child theme or settings, but it depends on what is actually in there. Please make sure that you have backups of the site so that you can restore the backup if something should go wrong. You could also try to update on a staging version of your site first.
Best regards,
RikardJuly 3, 2019 at 8:18 am #1115368Thanks Rikard. The backups are taken care of but good advice to use a staging version first. I’ll give that a go.
Thanks again
MarkJuly 3, 2019 at 12:33 pm #1115458Hi Mark,
Yes, that is by far the most secure way to update a WordPress site; have an exact copy on the staging site, then update there first to see if everything goes as expected.
Best regards,
