    Hello Kriesi

    We are using your enfold theme and now i cannot update the theme due to the following error.

    An error occurred while updating Enfold: Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.
    or
    Update Failed: Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.

    I was asked to send make a new thread on this topic for you guys to fix the issue. I have provided the login credentials to our website in the private section.Please help us resolve this issue ASAP.

    Hello Mike. The site was working fine and site is broken after updating the enfold theme via following the link
    https://kriesi.at/support/topic/updating-to-enfold-4-5-and-validating-personal-token/ I installed Update theme and plugins from the plugin manager and followed the step by step instructions you have porvided. After doing that the whole website is crashed and now doesn’t even show up or cannot login to the WordPress admin panel. This is a serious problem . Please fix this asap. I have provided all the login details in the private area

    Hi,
    Thanks for the hosting login, but I can’t login to the cPanel, I can see the user name but not the password.
    Do you know it?
    Is there another link that automatically logs you into the cPanel? I didn’t see it in the hosting panel.

    Your PHP version was 5.4. I set it to 7.2 and that fixed the issue. Please review your website now.

    Updating PHP did not fix my issue.

    An error occurred while updating Enfold: Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.

    Same Issue, and also my site keeps crashing and reverting to earlier drafts, minfication and cache fumbles, encrypted js calls to damaging documents.
    Damaging elements and shady calls out, A lot of spyware like behavior that is not easily remedied. Do you have access to the avia layout spyware fixes? Is it ransomware?

    Hi nationalintel,

    I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (4.5.6) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

    After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.
